Chapter 22 - It Was Nothing Like The Titanic

Remember when I came home from Grandmas and found that parcel then said to myself that I was going to find Nathan the next time I see him and tell him that I have feelings towards him.

But looks like now, I have no choice since the mystery guy had to be Nathan and then try and convince me into getting into the limo without me walking.

I sit quiet against the window while Nathan is on the opposite side of me trying to catch my attention. He thought he did for second when I turned my head to look at the other window.

The leather seats weren't cold but they were cool as well as inside the limo. There was a little wine bar to the side but we didn't dare to take a glass.

By now, I think Nathan is just trying to reason with me of how it all began but I just want to sit in here like I got a free ride.

"Fran, Franny." Nathan whispered to me. I don't answer and look down at my fumbling thumbs. I think he thought I was going to look at him for a second.

Gullible Nathan.

He leans over and places a hand on my knee that sends a zap of electricity and shivers throughout my body. I can just see his concerned face and it makes me want to confess so bad but I will when he says his story first and when I look up so that's not going to happen.

"Will you please just look at me." Nathan asked and I sighed.

I stop my thumb war and whisper to him. "After you tell me your story, I have to tell you something." I look up and see his gorgeous green eyes popping out. "Now speak, without being cocky."

Nathan smirks while leans back and sits back on the seat. He takes a deep breath and starts. "I'll start off back when we were 8 years old. We met and I thought that being friends with a girl will give you cooties."

"Girls don't have cooties, it's the boys who are carrying around them." I recall.

He rolls his eyes. "It's actually girls, hon. Now, when we got to help for that production."

"Sleeping Beauty." I point out.

"Yeah, that play. I remember how the prince had to kiss the princess for her to awake and then we started painting the floors with glue without the teacher noticing somehow and then we ran up the top of the stage and poured glue on them that made them scream then came the feathers." He laughs.

"I thought we painted the stage and got kicked out." I scrunch up my eyebrows.

"No, we painted the floors with glue, poured the rest of the glue on them and down came the rain of feathers. It was then, I knew we were going to be the best of friends but that ended when we got to middle school and we ended our friendship because of what people thought of us."

I shook my head, "Judgemental people are always around."

"Yes they are." He agreed. "Then the years went on and we didn't even do the crazy stuff we used to do together and that hurt me." Nathan looked up at me. "Did it hurt you?"

"I did every single second of the day I saw you and then I would get dragged off by Kate and never talk to you." I looked down.

"Josh was like that too." Nathan said. "Anyways, then we went on holidays before senior year and I ganged up my courage and decided to tell you after all these years, well almost 10 years, that I liked you well started to go to the love section then the notes started and the mystery guy spread around the school. You have no idea how hard it was to try sneak things into your locker without it happening. Then I had Josh and my mates to help out with the class one and the prom dress one. Josh still has a splinter from climbing that tree with your macaroons top." He laughed and I giggled.
