I wake up, sitting up.

"Oh good, he's finally up." Someone says

I look to my left and see. It's...Captain Levi!

"Where...where am I?" I hear Eren say

I look around, "Eren?"

"Gabi?" I hear Eren say from somewhere.

"I think it's obvious. Let's just call it a dungeon. You both are currently in custody of the Military Police. We were granted permission to see you just now." Someone says

It's Commander Erwin! Head of the Scout Regiment!

Erwin holds up Eren's key, "Don't worry, you'll get it back. Let's talk home. Specifically the good doctor's cellar back in Shiganshina. Pretty big secret in there, right? About the titans?" Erwin says

"Yeah, I think so. That's what my dad and Gabi's mom said, anyway." Eren says

"Must suck having your parents and your memory MIA at the same time. Unless of course, that's just a cover story." Levi says

"Here's the lay of the land. If you wanna visit the Cellar, we have to venture back into Shiganshina. Sealing the breach there as we did in Trost would be the smart way to go about it. Naturally, we'll need your special powers. Anyway you slice it, a titan is deciding our fate. It's been conjectured that the Colossal and the Female titan, are more or less the same as you two. It's why I ask your intentions. They could be the key to turning the tide, forever. You two could save us." Erwin says

Eren is pretty much the guy who speaks for us two. So I just let him do the talking.

"I don't know what we are." Eren says

"C'mon, it's an easy question. What the hell is it you wanna do?" Levi asks

This is my chance, I know that Eren will say he wants to join the scouts and slay titans. So I can do this talking.

I smirk, "We wanna become members of the scouts! And slaughter every titan that crosses our path!" I say

"Huh, well played. Alright then, I'll take responsibility for these two. Let the higher ups know what's going on. Not that I implicitly trust them of course, it's more a matter of trusting myself to deal with them. Kill them if I have to." Levi says

I flinch at this

"The big wigs aren't likely to raise a stake. My record more than speaks for itself. Good news, you're both officially members of the Scouts."

Most nights were pretty restless. Me and Eren just lying in bed, chained up. We weren't allowed to talk to each other much. If we did, we could only get a few sentences in before one of the MPs would tell us to shut up. I respect the MPs, but it strikes me as off that they have such rude mannerisms. It is quite lonely. And I'm just thinking about my friends. I've always been a bit of a worrier. What if, they died when Eren and I were plugging up the hole? And.....what if Sasha....

No! Gotta stop thinking like that. I'll see them soon. None of them died. Marcel, Bertholdt, Annie, Pieck, Mikasa, Armin, Fay, Mina, Krista, Marco, Jean, Sasha, Conny. All of them are alive, I know they are. They have to be. And then there's me. Not dead, but not exactly alive either. Just in chains. Like a dog tied to a leash, I'm stuck here. I don't want to think about this, but if we stay too long here, I'm transforming and leaving. Something's strange about my titan. It has armour. I've thought of it before, but now I really question it. Why does it have armour? It doesn't make sense. Titans don't typically have armour like that. Not even Eren has that armour on his titan body.

Just then, the door opens. A lady goes to Eren. Apparently he's being taken somewhere. But...I don't know where. I hope it's nothing bad. After a while, the same happens to me.

"Well hello there. Gabi, was it?" This lady with glasses says

"Um...yes....who are you?" I ask

"I'm Zoe Hange! I'm a Section Commander for the Scouts! We're getting you out of here, but you'll have to put these on." Hange says, holding out some cuffs.

They take me to a door and open it. Revealing a courtroom. I've been under a courthouse this entire time. I get taken to the center of the room and forced to go to my knees. The MPs lock my cuffs to a bar, so I can't move.

A bunch of people watch. I look to the left and see Mikasa, Armin, and Fay!

Just then, the judge comes out.

"Ahem, your name is Gabi Schutz. As a soldier, you have sworn to give up your life when called to, for the good of humanity. Is that correct?" Zachary says

"Y-Yes." I say, shyly

"As an enlisted soldier in a time of war, military doctrine demands your tribunal be held as a court martial. As commander of our armed forces, this matter is left to my discretion. Thus I will decide whether you live or die. Any objections?" Zachary says

"N-No..." I say

"As expected, covering up your existence has proven challenging. A choice must be made. And the regiment that takes custody of you will determine your fate. The Military Police or the Scout Regiment. The Military Police will now present their case." Zachary says

Nile Dock, the commander of the Military Police begins speaking, "Our stance on what to do with him is the same as with Jaeger. We must dispose of him immediately. He's creating such civil unrest amongst the people. With Jaeger being given to the Scout Regiment, it is our belief that the other of his kind shouldn't be allowed to interact with his fellow companion."

"Mmm, and the Scout Regiment's argument?" Zachary says

Erwin presents his case, "I propose the following. Let Gabi join the Scouts, just like Eren. We will utilize his unique ability to help take back the lands lost to the titans."

"And what would adding him to the Scouts do for humanity? You already have Jaeger. So why keep him?" Nile says

"The fact is that Gabi's titan ability is physically different from Eren's. His body is covered in armoured plating. With this, Gabi could use his titan ability to take down hoards of titans without much damage. As the case with Eren, titans would attempt to go after Gabi. However, I doubt they would get far with the fact that Gabi presents an impenetrable shield. After the retaking of Trost was complete, chunks of the armour were taken in and examined. Yielding interesting results. Even the small shards found were virtually indestructible." Erwin says

"This only presents him as more of a threat. If he were to go rogue like Jaeger, what would you do to combat him? If his armour is indestructible, then how are you to neutralize him?" One of the MPs says

"We don't have a way to combat him if he goes rogue. However, Gabi has shown that his control over his titan body is superior to Eren's. Eren did go rogue, however, Gabi showed control over the body. Even nodding at fellow soldiers when asked questions." Erwin says

"Excuse me, can I interject? I wanna propose an idea." I say

"Hmmm? Go ahead." Zachary says

"I can't promise that I can completely control my titan body. After all, it's still a mystery even to me. But I'd like to suggest maybe a cage or dungeon to test out my ability. So that if I do happen to go rogue, I wouldn't hurt anyone." I say

"The reports say that you didn't lose control. In fact, having full control of your titan body. And the soldier who made contact with Gabi was Mikasa Ackerman. How did the interaction go?" Zachary says

"I asked Gabi a question, to which he responded with a nod." Mikasa says

"And what was this question?" Zachary asks

"I asked him if he was in control." Mikasa says

"I believe I have made my choice." Zachary says

With that, I was actually placed in Scout Custody. Under the supervision of Levi, I could act as a Scout and use my power for the good of humanity.
