That Day

I wake up. 

“Gabi!” Armin says

I look to my right and see him sitting up

I sit up too. We’re on the wall in some on some cloth for a little makeshift bed. 

“Wha-What happened? Where’s the beast titan?” I ask

“The beast titan?” Armin asks

Armin looks to his left. Sasha is there, she’s injured.

Eren rushes to us, “YOU’RE UP!!!!!!” 

He hugs us both.

“Bout time.” Levi says

“Captain...what happened?” I ask

“I saw Bertholdt transform. But then everything gets kinda blurry. Did we fight them off?” Armin says

“It seems that your recent memory was just about wiped out.” Levi says as he fires a smoke signal

Then, they explain everything to us. About how I fought the beast titan against Erwin’s orders. How I lost against him. But that wasn’t as surprising as Armin’s situation. He almost died, but they fed Bertholdt to him. He now possesses the ability of the colossal titan. And Erwin died. There were only 12 Soldiers left alive.

Before long, it was time for us to look into Eren’s basement. As we walk down the roads of Shiganshina. Memories flashback about how we used to live. We make it to the cellar. And get to the door. We open it to reveal the stairs. 

“That’s a relief, I was worried that it might’ve flooded by now.” Hange says

We walk down the stairs and get to the door into the cellar. 

“Do it, Eren.” Levi says

Eren takes the key and attempts to unlock the door.

“I can’t….the key doesn’t go to this lock.” Eren says

“Step aside! I’ll open it.” Levi says as he kicks the door open.

Upon looking around. We found a drawer with a false bottom. That’s what the key went to. A drawer. In it, were six books. 3 Written by my mom. 3 by Eren’s father.

Mikasa and Eren opened the first book of Mister Jaeger. While Fay and I, together, opened up the books by our mother.

In them, were pictures. But not ones drawn. They were made by burning the light of a subject onto a piece of paper.

Beyond the walls….countless humans live.

“Hurry Fay! If we’re not fast, we’ll miss it!” Grisha says

My name is Nicole Schutz. This is my story. 

“Don’t forget again! You can’t go outside without your armbands!” Grisha’s mother says

Fay runs to me, happily, “Let’s go, Nicole!” 

“Don’t worry, mom! We’ll be good!” Grisha says to his mom

“We’ll see you later, okay?” Fay says

We run off to where we wanna show Fay to.

I look up into the sky, “Grisha! There’s one right now!”

“C’mon! We gotta hurry to see another take off!” Grisha says

We watch the Aircraft fly until it’s out of view.
