Eren and I are taking care of things, same as usual. Shoveling shit as per our chores. Eren and I finish and walk out.
We notice….OUR FRIENDS!!!
“I don’t believe it! Oruo, may we be excused to talk to our friends for a bit?” Eren says
I can’t believe it’s them. They actually joined the scouts.
“Fine, just don’t take too long.” Oruo says.
Eren and I run straight to them.
“Hey, Mikasa! Armin!” Eren yells
“Fay!” I yell
We make it to them
“Man, am I glad to see you guys!” Eren says
“Gabi!” Fay says, as she hugs me
“Fay!” I say, as I hug her back.
“Eren! Gabi! Have they mistreated you in any way? Like subjecting you to cruel experiments? Or some sort of mental anguish?” Mikasa asks
Eren and I look at each other and then back at Mikasa.
“No.” Eren and I say
“Tch, that pipsqueak took things way too far. I will make him pay.” Mikasa says
I believe she’s referring to Captain Levi. Eren told me that he got beat the hell up by Levi.
“Hey! Guys!” Conny says
I know that voice. I turn around and see THE REST OF OUR FRIENDS!!! Conny, Sasha, Mina, Bertholdt, Pieck, Marcel, and Krista.
“Long time no see!” Sasha says
“Hey Sasha!” I say, excited to see her.
It’s been a while since I’ve seen her. But if they’re here. That means they joined the scouts.
“Hey guys! You’re all here! Wait, if all of you are here then does that mean...you all joined the scouts.” Eren says
“Well yeah, why else would we be here?” Conny says
“I guess that means Jean, Annie, and Marco went to the Military Police?” I ask
Then, Jean walks up from behind us.
“Wait a sec, you joined too?” Eren says
“Marco is dead.” Jean says
My eyes widen.
“Jean, don’t joke like that.” I say, not believing him
“M-Marco’s not dead! C’mon!” Eren says
“I wish I could tell you he died nobly. Truth is, I don’t even know how he went out. He died alone. There was no one there to see it happen.” Jean says
Marcel starts to speak up, “Jean...I…”
We all look to Marcel.
Marcel stops, “...I…”
“What is it?” Jean asks
Bertholdt and Pieck look weirdly at Marcel.
I look down to see Pieck discreetly tugging at Marcel’s shirt.
Marcel looks down with a sad look, “I know that whatever the case….he must have died nobly. I’m sure he died with honor.”
Jean nods.
“Alright Rookies! Form up! Your uniforms are here!” Ness says
With that, my friends get their cloaks with the Wings of Freedom! But...I can’t help but think that Marco…..should be here.
