13: Show Time
Three weeks later:
Today was the day. The day that Stevie, but also Rory and August, had put so much time into to be prepared. Stevie was running around her apartment, getting everything ready. Between getting herself dressed and getting the outfits prepared, along with accessories, the designer found herself more stressed than she had hoped for.
The last three weeks consisted of final changes and snipping of loose thread. Along the way, she seemed to have forgotten to find an outfit for herself. Luckily, she had enough time to whip up a dress of her own.
The dress that she had decided to make was simple, but she loved the way it looked. It was a fitted, long sleeved, floor length dress with a high slit up the leg. For the neckline, she decided to go with a more square shape to show off her chest and collar bones. While finding fabrics for the outfits a few months back, she had found a pattern that she had fallen in love with and had to buy for future instances. This event being said future instance. It was a deep navy blue with cream colored irregular circles. She decided to wear strappy heels in a matching cream color and minimalist gold jewelry to complete the look.
The show was to start at eight, but the three had decided to be on site at six to ensure enough time to get ready. August had agreed to meet the two girls at the apartment so they could all take one vehicle to campus. They were only around the corner, but didn't want to risk anything happening to the clothes as well as having to worry about carrying all the makeup and hair product all that way.
At this moment, it was one in the afternoon. She had just finished making and eating lunch with Rory before sending the girl to shower as she would be doing the same thing.
It was five when August had showed up, and goodness was Stevie happy to see him, or more like what he carried in his hand. He had gone and picked up the girls' go to orders from their favorite coffee shop and they couldn't be more thankful for him. For the next hour, Stevie had ran around, gathering all the things they needed and even more that they may or may not need along the way. It was 6:55 when they finally made it into the car before leaving.

Once backstage, Stevie took it upon herself to set up. Two chairs had already sat in front of a large mirror for each of the models so she instructed them to just sit and look pretty as she got ready.
Once the three outfits hung on the mini clothing rack, Stevie plugged in the hair tools to start working on her two friends. For RJ, she chose to do a soft curled half up/half down do, inspired by Rose from the Titanic. She also decided to add smokey colored pearls throughout her
hair to incorporate something from August's outfit.
August was a bit more simple. His hair had grown a bit, exposing a soft curl, so Stevie decided to give him a neat side part and comb the rest back with pomade.
Stevie had begun curling the girl's hair as quickly as possible and threw in different sized rollers before each curl cooled to hold the shape better. As soon as her hair was set, she instructed Rory to begin on her base makeup and moved on to Auggie. She noticed how soft his hair was as she ran her fingers through it, wishing she was playing with his hair in a different circumstance.
After hair was done, for the most part, she started the makeup. Rory's eyes were a grey and blue smokey eye with iridescent blue lids, extreme and wispy lashes, deep gray-ish contouring, topped off with a stunning blue silver highlight. Her lips were a pale pink with a gloss that had a matching blue shimmer to the highlighter. August's makeup was similar minus the eyes.
