3.|Link's Twin?

ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴀʀᴇɴᴛꜱ ᴡᴇʀᴇ ᴏᴠᴇʀ ᴊᴏʏᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ ꜱᴀʏ ᴛʜᴇ ʟᴇᴀꜱᴛ.

The father was severely injured but when they made it to town, they soon learned that he would make a full recovery.

The mother was severely traumatized but over all unscathed. The mother was extremely grateful though, she constantly told them that "The gods had sent them as a blessing.". They were highly praised for what they did.

The girl, later to be revealed as Ai Lan, on the other hand refused to leave Link and Johnny alone. She was attached to them like gorilla glue and refused to leave their side unless her mom was present. Somedays she would accompany them into town and refused to take no for an answer. Or times she'd refuse to even leave her father or mother's side.

But today was one of those town accompanying days.

And here they were, the girl skipping ahead of them excitedly, while Link and Johnny talked about their situation quietly.

"Are you absolutely positive that we're in feudal China."

"Yes Gege."

"But how? We were just hiking in Texas! How did we end up here?"

Truth be told, they both had no clue on how they got there, but they were both convinced that the storm had to do with it.

But why? How?

So many burning questions were left unanswered for them, and it was beginning to get on their nerves. They obviously didnt show it infront of the family, especially the daughter, but they were getting irritated.

Johnny took a deep breathe and let out a frustrated sigh, "Let's just take our minds off of this. Let's just enjoy these moments!"

Link gave him a hesitant look before giving in, "Alright."

"Linkie! JoJo! Look!" Ai Lan cheered from upfront. They ran slightly to catch up, "What is it Ai Lan?" When they reached her, she was jumping up and down with excitement, pointing at something. They bent down to see what she was pointing at.

"Moon cake?" Link asked. Johnny nodded, "Seems like it."

"Huh." Link straightened up, he bowed slightly to the store owner and asked politely, "How much will one moon cake cost?"

"5 copper coins."

Link paid up.

Johnny and Ai Lan watched in silence, not expecting Link do that. When he turned to give Ai Lan her Moon cake, he saw them staring.

"..what?"

"You.. never mind." Link just shrugged and gave Ai Lan her moon cake. She ate it happily as they walked through the town.

"Linkie? Jojo?" They hummed in response. "Where did you get your names? It doesn't sound like it's..uh, what's the word?"

"Around?" Johnny offered.

"Yeah! Areand from here!"

Link couldnt help but smile at the mispronounced word. They gave eachother glances that went unnoticed to the girl. They both nodded, agreeing silently. "We're travelers from a place far far away." Link said, squating down infront of her. "We had happened to be in the area at the time and looking for a place to rest." He pat her head.

It wasn't that far from the truth. They were indeed from "a place far far away". They were from the other side of the world, another time period and probably universe, they didn't belong there.
