He had just simply forgotten about it.
Link layed face first into the stone platform sleeping quietly with Xie Lian's cloak used as a blanket for the two of them. In the distance, Nan Feng, Fu Yao, and Xie Lian were discussing their next moves while Johnny eavesdropped(not really) on them.
"Who did you get into a fight with?"
"Fight? No one. When I jumped down to the mortal world, I bumped into a cloud and it scratched me, so I ended up tumbling and ended up like this."
No one spoke for a bit, causing Johnny to look up curiously. He noticed Nan Feng staring at something, his eyes trailed towards what he was looking. His eyes widened slightly at the state Xie Lian was in, especially what was around his neck. Black markings that strangely looked like chains, although his eyes could be deceiving him.
Xie Lian noticed his staring and gave him a closed eye smile, "First time seeing cursed shackles?" Johnny snapped out of it, not realizing he was staring. "Oh, sorry." He apologized. Xie Lian shook his head, "Oh dont worry. Its fine."
He put back on his robe and began to wrap the bandages around his neck once more to conceal this, cursed shackles. Johnny turned back to the bag and continued fo rummage through it, pulling out various items and organizing it. He could briefly hear them talking about their next moves but he wasn't paying attention. Instead, he was deep in thought.
Eventually his hand did touch something that he never thought he would ever touch again. His eyes widened.
He grabbed something light from the bag and threw it at the sleeping idiot's head. Link jolted awake and proceeded to almost fall off the platform. The cloak fell off though. The adults paused their conversation to watch the idiotic youths and what they were doing.
"You dumb dumb, what the fuck was that for?" He scowled, sitting up and pulling the Cloak up and around him.
"Well this dumb dumb just found...." he pulled two things that were metal and smooth out, "o u r p h o n e s."
This time Link did fall off the platform.
"AYO WHAT!?"
"They dont work though."
"Fuck."
"Link, no cursing." Xie Lian scolded. "Sorry." He replied half heartedly. He sighed, "We'll figure it out later." They turned to the grown up.
"How will we lure out this ghost groom? Well, my idea is to find someone that would be willing to pretend they are a newlywed bride, we then use them to lure out the ghost groom at Yujun mountain." Xie Lian offered.
"But the thing is, this ghost groom has been deemed as a 'wrath' by the palace of Ling Wen. In the rankings of 'fierce', 'wrath', and 'devastation.' Its second to devastation."
"So overall, itll be dangerous having a maiden act as bait."
Fu Yao threw the previously thrown apple up in the air before putting it back into its spot on the offering table. Link looked at Nan Feng in disapproval at the sight of his throwing his apple core onto the ground when he was finished. "In that case, we'll have to find a man whose willing to be this newlywed bride." Johnny supposed.
"But where will we find one?" Link questioned.
They paused, before slowly looking at Xie Lian. Xie Lian blinked at them, confused. "Eh?"
