Perfect Imperfections (Jensoo converted story)

Twenty-six

It's been four months since Jisoo and Jennie got married and two months when they finally admitted their feelings. 
 
Jennie knew that accepting the fact that she is indeed in love with her wife, she will regret nothing. Jisoo never fails to show her wife how much she loves her. Even tho sometimes her hormones and cravings are crazy. Like one time Jisoo had to drive all over town to find a 24 hours’ store cause her wife is craving for olives. And it was 2 am in the morning. The poor girl ended up buying a pizza filled with olives and she had to take all the olives one by one out of the pizza just for her pregnant wife. Or at that time when Jennie wanted to eat San-nakji. Jisoo really want to vomit while watching her wife eating the raw dish. But her world shuts down when her wife offered some for her. She had to force her mouth to swallow the disgusting food just so her wife wouldn’t feel upset.
 
Aside from those crazy craving, sometimes Jennie would throw fits when she fetched her late from work. She would accuse her cheating with Soojoo or seeing another girl or more. Sometimes Jennie would wake up in the middle of the night and hit her wife just because she dreamed of her having an affair with a random woman and Jisoo would end up sleeping on the sofa or in her car outside the house because her wife doesn’t want to see her face.
 
Jisoo have to be patient and understanding because she knows it is harder for her wife. And Nayeon also explained to her that the first trimester is always the hardest but after that everything will be okay and she was right. Jennie is three months pregnant now and her cravings finally tone down also her hormones. 
 
"Hubby..." Jisoo heard her wife calling her.
 
Jisoo went to the kitchen where her wife is busy preparing their lunch.
 
"Yes, Wife?" 
 
"Can you help me cut the vegetables?"
 
"Yes, of course, " Jisoo kiss her wife's cheeks before doing the short girl's request. "Why don't you rest, Wife. I will continue preparing our lunch."
 
"No, I'm the wife, I should do this."
 
"Aishh...this cute swollen mandu..." Jisoo pinches her wife's chubby cheeks.
 
"Yah! Are you saying I am fat?" Jennie glared at her wife.
 
"Wife, there is nothing wrong with gaining weight. And besides, you're pregnant so it is understandable that you gain weight but you still the most beautiful woman for me."
 
Jennie smile. "What if I don't lose this extra pounds after I gave birth?"
 
"Who's complaining?" Jisoo gives her wife a hug. "As long as you and our little one are healthy, I'm fine even if you gain a lot of weight."
 
"Aisshh..cheesy." Jennie hug her wife back. "After I give birth, I am hitting the gym until I have my figure back."
 
"Anything you want my love." 
 
"Let's finish this, I want to go out later."
 
"Where do you want to go?"
 
"Take me on a date."
 
"It will be my pleasure, Wife."
 
 
 
The couple continues to prepare their lunch when Jisoo remembers something.
 
"Say, Wife how's that guy name Kai?" Jisoo looks at her wife.
 
"I haven't seen him this past month."
 
"He is not pestering you anymore?" 
 
"Nooo, he hasn't talked to me or approach me at work or visits our department." Jennie put the vegetables her wife cut to the soup she is making.
 
"I don't know why but I feel odd about his sudden distance." Jisoo put the knife down and look at her wife. "Wife, be careful okay? I don't trust him."
 
"Hubby, I don't think he is capable of doing bad things to others."
 
"We can't be sure about that, Jennie. Please just be careful. Don't go anywhere alone. Always have someone with you."
 
Jennie cupped her wife's face and kiss her lips. "Okay, I'll be extra careful."
 
Jisoo smile, "I don't know what I will do if something bad happens to you and our child."
 
"Nothing will happen to me and our child."
 
Jisoo nods. "Is the food not ready yet? I'm hungry, Wife."
 
"Set the table please this will be done in a few minutes."
 
Jisoo took the meat her wife cook and put it in the table. Just like her wife says, in just a few minutes the soup is done and the couple enjoys their lunch.
 
 
 
 
It was late afternoon, Jisoo and Jennie were walking in the park. Jennie's hands are wrapped around Jisoo's waist while the older woman arm was around her shoulder.
 
Envy was in the eyes of the people watching the beautiful couple being sweet to each other.
 
But what the couple didn't is that pair of eyes watching them from afar. Eyes full of hate for the 'man' holding his supposed to be family if 'he' didn't come in the picture. 
 
"That child...." He whispers. His hand tightly gripped his car steering wheel. "That child..."
 
 
 
 
"Jisoo... Walk faster!" Jennie was a few steps ahead of her wife, crossing the street to get in the cafe on the other side.
 
Jisoo who has to stop to tie her shoes heard a creaking side of a car wheel followed by a loud thud.
 
"Oh my God! The woman!!" A horrified voice of a woman was heard when she saw a car directly hit the woman crossing the road.
 
Jisoo stopped his movement, tears roll than her cheeks when in front of her the woman she loved so much was lying down. 
 
That very moment Jisoo feel like dying. She cannot move, her body shakes, she doesn’t know what to do.
 
"I....Jennie!"
