"De hello where did you go?" Sam asked once he found himself in a strange place. Just seconds ago he was with Dean then his whole body hurt, like it hurt a lot. Then all of sudden he was here, everything around him was bright. Even the people and they all had large white wings.

"He is not here young one, " a voice said to him and Sam turned around to see a man with black hair and blue eyes looking back at him. He was dressed in all white and like everyone else he had wings. "Something is troubling you? " The man asked him.
"My brother, where is my brother?" Sam asked. "I see him when he dreams because I have not been born yet, " he explained. The man looked a bit trouble at his words. This little one didn't know that he had died and went to heaven.
"What's your name?" The man asked and Sam didn't answer because he didn't trust the man. "You don't have to be scared little one, I'm an angel just like you, " the man said to him.

"But I'm not an angel, I haven't even been born yet, " Sam answered. This man was making no sense, how could he be an angel and where were they? But then a sudden thought struck him. "Is this place Heaven?" The man nodded and Sam felt crushed. He wasn't supposed to be here, he was supposed to be talking with Dean. Sam had been eager to see him every since he first heard his brother's voice. He went inside Dean's dreams so that he could meet him, it had become so natural over the past eight months. That Sam could actually feel that his time to arrive was fast approaching. He knew that once he was born, he would basically be helpless. But right now he was just a soul, and he was very attached to Dean.

"You're lying!" Sam accused refusing to believe that he had died before he was born. But then he felt something on his back, it felt like tiny feathers. Sam didn't need to think too long to realize that it was wings he was feeling. The man was telling the truth, he was an angel now. He cried into the other angel and refused to stop unless someone agreed to send him back. No one could however, it was against the rules of heaven to send an angel back to their human body. Especially since Sam was so young, he wouldn't be able to fly because his wings were to small.

Sam didn't care about that rule and after learning that the angel's name was Castiel. He convinced him to at least let him see Dean, Castiel knew what Sam planned on doing. He was going down to earth and live as a human, or at least attempt to. Since Sam had no body to go back to, he couldn't use his corpse. He also refused to use someone as a vessel, because he wanted Dean to recognize him. If he used someone's else body Dean wouldn't know it was him.

Castiel thought about alerting the archangels about Sam's intentions, but he couldn't bring himself to betray the young cherub's trust. Plus he could sense how much Sam loved his brother, and after hearing about how he could enter dreams. It seemed very likely that Sam and Dean's souls were connected. Not in a romantic way, but it was definitely similar to a soulmate connection. When Castiel brought Sam down to earth, the young angel hid his true form and took on his human appearance.
"What you're doing is very risky, if any other angel discovers what have you done, you will be punished, "  Castiel warned.

Sam was ready to respond but no words came out of his mouth only babble. He covered his mouth in embarrassment, since he was now in his human body. He was like a newborn infant, he couldn't speak. "You are in a human body now Sam, you can't speak yet," Castiel bluntly said. "You will appear to age as your human body gets older, " he continued. "But like all angels you will not age physically, " he finished then with a flap of his wings Castiel vanished. Sam sat at the bottom of the stairs and did the only thing he could do, he cried.

Dean refused to sleep ever since he got the news. He also refused to speak, even after Mary had told him that she and John were splitting up. He was a bit happy about that, his Daddy had been mean to his Mommy. He also didn't seem to care that Sammy was gone, so Dean was glad to see him go. Mary had at least managed to get her son to eat and drink some water. But he wouldn't sleep unless he got his brother back.
"What's that?" Dean asked hearing the sound of crying. The four year got out of his bed and looked through the hallway to search for the source. "Mommy?" He asked thinking it was his mother.

But it wasn't so Dean continued to walk through the hallway searching for answers until he reached the staircase. It was dark but he noticed the small baby at the bottom, the boy gasped and raced down carefully so he wouldn't step on the baby. Sam's cries stopped immediately once he saw Dean, the infant cooed and reached up wanting to be held.
"Sammy is that you?" Dean asked picking him up uncertain if he was dreaming or not. Sam wanted to tell him that it was, but he couldn't speak. So he grabbed Dean's  hand with his tiny finger. "Sammy you came back!" Dean exclaimed holding his brother close. Everything will be okay Dean, I am here now, you won't have to be sad anymore, and I won't need to be either. Sam thought to himself.
