FADE IN :
INT. MEETING ROOM - MORNING
Boden is having a meeting with everyone at the beginning of shift. He is at the front while Casey, Stella and Kelly stand in the back, and everyone else sits.
BODEN
So I need everyone to make sure we're getting all of that done by tomorrow. I don't want us to leave it to next shift.
MOUCH
You got it, Chief.
HERRMANN
Yea.
BODEN
Good.
HERRMANN
And hey, I wanted to ask you something.
BODEN
What is it, Herrmann?
HERRMANN
So you all know my daughter, Annabelle.
VIOLET
Of course.
HERRMANN
Well, she has been practicing her cooking nonstop. I mean my kitchen is a total disaster with plates and dishes.
BODEN
Okay?
HERRMANN
I told her I'd ask if she could come by and make a nice dinner for us. I don't mean to add any stress, it's -
Boden cuts Herrmann off.
BODEN
I think all of us would really appreciate that.
Everyone nods happily.
BODEN (CONT'D)
When were you thinking? Sometime next week?
HERRMANN
Tonight. Next week she's got this science fair that I've got to help her with.
Ritter turns to Cruz.
RITTER
Bet you can't wait for those days. Helping your kid with homework.
Cruz looks at Ritter nervously. Boden looks at Herrmann surprised for a second, but then nods.
BODEN
Alright, tonight it is. Whoever had cooking duties, you've got a day off.
GALLO
Okay! New chef in the house!
Gallo shows he's happy.
HERRMANN
Thanks, Chief.
BODEN
Alright. Dismissed.
Everyone leaves out of the meeting room.
DISSOLVE TO :
INT. KITCHEN - LATE LUNCH (2:00pm)
Cruz, Violet, Ritter, Mouch and Gallo sit at the table eating sandwiches for lunch.
CRUZ
Did you guys see who won the game last night?
MOUCH
Yea, Trudy wouldn't stop talking about how they killed it.
VIOLET
McNiece had a few nice threes, though. He kept the game pretty close.
