Jonathan stepped out when Kathy started banging the bathroom door. He knew she was angry, but he didn't understand how to console her or answer her questions without giving away too much information. He couldn't just reveal to her that he was a vampire or the fact she was his second choice mate or about William's agenda.

Kathy's eyes were red and puffy due to all the crying, but her looks were least of her worries right now, she went towards Jonathan and looking him in his eye questioned him," What are we doing in Paris? What just happened now? This time you are going to answer me, don't try to evade my questions."

Jonathan paused for few seconds before replying," Kathy there is a lot happening around you, I just can't explain everything now, you need to trust me."

Kathy scoffed at him before answering," Trusting you is what I cannot do right now, you need to give me something, at least tell me why should I trust you."

Minutes passed, when she realised Jonathan wasn't forthcoming with any reply she stormed out the door and made her way towards the streets. She needed some time apart from him to think. After wandering the Paris streets for an hour, she realised she was lost. In her anger she had forgot her cell and wallet, she didn't know the local language either to ask directions of her hotel, and the people she came across didn't understand a word of English.

After reaching Paris, William made his way towards the car which was arranged for his transportation while in Paris, he still didn't know where Jonathan and Kathy were staying but he had enormous trust on his detective, he was sure he will get their destination soon enough.

As they drove through the streets of Paris, William asked the driver to stop in front of a small cafe so he could grab a cup of coffee and something to eat, he was famished from the long plane ride and the airplane food sucked he thought. As he made his way across the cafe, he saw a familiar figure standing in the line awaiting her turn to order. He made his way towards her and called out her name when he reached her.

Kathy was shocked to find William in the cafe, after wandering in the streets she was thirsty and hungry, when she saw a small cafe she came in without any second thought, but never imagined she would meet William here of all places.

William stood there with a satisfied grin on his face, he asked her what she was doing here alone, Kathy chose not to reply to that, instead asked a question of her own,"What are you doing here William?"

William simply grinned before replying," I am here on vacation just like you, but I must say I am surprised to see you here."

Kathy didn't believe a word but wasn't in the mood to argue so just nodded her head, when she realised it was her turn to order she asked for a latte and a donut after paying her bill she went and found a table, knowing William would come and join her. As predicted William came and sat across her with his cup of coffee.

After a few minute of silence William spoke," So you didn't answer my question, what are you doing here alone Kathy?"

Kathy just remained silent she didn't know what to tell William, she didn't trust him enough to reveal her problems with Jonathan and she still had her doubts about William's sudden appearance here.

When he realised Kathy wouldn't answer him he tried a different tactic," Fine don't answer me, at least tell me why you cancelled on our date."

Kathy sighed before replying," William I am lost in Paris, I am tired and confused about a lot of things, please spare me all this interrogation and just let me know if you will do me a favour, no questions asked?"

William answered without a second thought he would do anything for her. With that Kathy stood up and gestured William towards the door, they went to the car where William held the door open for her, fortunately for her the driver knew her hotel when she recited the name. They took off towards the hotel. Once they reached Kathy got out, William following suit but she stopped him and asked him to wait in the car. William went back to the car without any protest.

Kathy made her towards her room where Jonathan was pacing, as soon as he saw Kathy he walked towards her and hugged her," Kathy where the hell were you, I was going insane here, I came searching for you and you where nowhere to be found."

Kathy snorted derisively before replying," Jonathan you cant expect any answers from me, when you are being all secretive, I am heading back to NYC, don't try and stop me, come and find me when you are ready to give answers."

Jonathan protested," please don't leave like this just give me some time, if you really want to head back, we will leave right now, but don't go alone like this."

"I am not alone, William is here and I am sure he will take me back, so please don't bother yourself." Jonathan couldn't believe his ears, he couldn't comprehend how William found them or why Kathy was going with him. But before he could utter anything Kathy took her bags and headed out. Jonathan knew he had to stop her, but at this stage he knew she wouldn't listen to any reason. He wouldn't let William take advantage of her though, with that in mind he called his pilot to get his private jet ready and that they were heading back to New york tonight. He had to come up with some plan to convince Kathy, he would do anything to keep her away from William.

Kathy and William headed towards the airport with none of them breaking the uncomfortable silence. William knew Kathy was vulnerable and he had utilise this chance. Once they boarded their flight, William sat there thinking how to convince Kathy he was the right person for her. William knew this time he had a greater chance of convincing her Jonathan was the bad guy in all this, all he had to do was come up with the right plan. Once they reached NYC, he would take her back to her apartment and tell her the truth about Celia and how Jonathan killed his wife. After this he was sure Kathy wouldn't trust a thing Jonathan would say. This time he just has to play his cards right.
