"What do you mean 'we're being hunted'?" Stitch asked.
Volt glanced over at him. "I mean that there's an Alpha Demon after us." He said. "But it's not a Night Phoenix."
Grimm cursed under his breath. "It's her." He muttered.
"Wh-Who?" Digi asked, still quite shaken from the nightmare.
Grimm looked up, a concerned look on his face. "Nightmare, otherwise known as just Night, is the name of the Humanoid Demon you saw in your dreams." He explained. "She is infamous for being able to kill her victims by using nightmares. If you look into her eyes, even from a distance, she'll be able to connect to you through the dream world. Once she's connected, she'll haunt you for three nights. On the first night, she'll use your greatest fear against you, and torment you. On the second night, she'll do the same, but she'll use your fear to find your exact location. On the final night, there will be no nightmares, only her. She'll wait until you're asleep, then tear out your organs and eat you alive."
Digi swallowed nervously, and suddenly felt sick. "H-How so we stop her?" He asked.
ScarFace gave Digi a sorrowful look. "We wait until night three," He said. "Then destroy her before she can get to you."
Digi whimpered. He didn't want to have Night tear him apart in his dreams again, but he also didn't want to be torn apart in real life either, he'd had enough of that already. Grimm turned to the rest of the Specters. "Everyone, back to bed." He said. "We'll discuss this more in the morning." Everyone nodded, then went back to their own rooms. Grimm glanced over his shoulder at Digi and Volt, then left the room.
Digi closed his eyes and looked down. Sympathy flashed through Volt's eyes, he put his hand on his friend's right shoulder reassuringly. "Hey, don't worry." He said. "I'm here with you, and I won't let her get you."
Digi looked up at Volt. "Really?" He asked.
Volt nodded, a sad smile creeping onto his lips. "You're like a brother to me, Digi." He said. "And I will protect my family at all costs."
The corner's of Digi's mouth lifted slightly, then he engulfed his 'brother' in a tight hug. "Thank you." He said, tears threatening to pour down his cheeks.
Volt closed his eyes and hugged Digi back, a genuine smile on his face.
