One of Them: Electronic

Chapter 10

It had been two whole days since Grimm had called his brother, ScarFace. It just so happened that he had been in Oregon, exterminating some demon hounds, when Grimm had called. He had said he would be at the mansion in two days, at around 5 pm. Digi glanced at the clock, it was almost 5:30 pm.

"Where is he?" Venom asked, sounding slightly annoyed. "He said he would be here around five!"

Grimm sighed. "My brother never could get anywhere on time." He said. "Even when we were kids."

Digi glanced to his left, Volt was sitting next to him on the couch, he appeared to be watching something on the other side of the room. Digi leaned forward and followed his gaze, he guessed that Volt was watching StarBurst and Piccolo, who were talking to one another. Digi noticed that they were sitting quite close to each other. He glanced at Volt, but his face was emotionless as he watched silently. "Hey, Volt?" Digi asked. "You alright?"

Volt tore his gaze away from the couple. "Of course I am." He said, glancing at Digi. "Why wouldn't I be?"

Digi was silent for a moment, then shrugged. "I don't know." He said.

Volt quickly glanced back at Burst and Pic, Digi could've sworn he saw a glint of sadness in his friend's eyes. Something was definitely bothering him, but what?

Suddenly, there was a loud pounding on the front door. It swung open to reveal a tall man with wild blonde hair that resembled a lion's mane, bright emerald green eyes, and wore jeans, a red sweater with yellow cuffs, and had a katana secured to his belt. He also wore a black bandana that covered his face from the top of his neck to halfway up his nose. Two long pink scars were visible under the bandana. Digi instantly knew who this man was.

"Hey, gang!" ScarFace greeted everyone.

"Scar!" Everyone shouted, jumping up.

"Sorry I'm late," Scar said, walking into the living room. "I was jumped by a horde of shadow cats while I was going through the town."

His eyes lit up with curiosity when he noticed Digi and Volt. "You didn't tell me you found some more Specters!" Scar said, glancing at his younger brother.

Grimm stood up and set his book down. "Ah, yes." He said, walking over to the two boys. "This is Digi and Voltage."

Digi smiled. "Hi!" He said, holding out his hand. "I'm Digi, I'm a cyborg."

"Hey, kiddo." He said, shaking Digi's hand. "I'm ScarFace, but you may call me Scar, I have regeneration powers."

Volt stood up and held out his hand as well. "I'm Voltage," He said emotionlessly. "Otherwise known as Volt."

Scar tried to shake Volt's hand, but he jumped back when he was shocked by a bit of static electricity. "You stay true to your name." Scar joked. "I'm guessing you can electrocute people?"

Volt nodded. "Yep." He said, a hint of a smile on his lips.

Grimm cleared his throat, making everyone turn their attention to him. "Scar, there's a reason I asked you to come here." He said, turning to his older brother. "We seem to be having a... demon problem."

The energetic light in Scar's eyes faded. "You called me here because of demons?" He asked. "It's a Night Phoenix, isn't it?

Grimm nodded. "Thankfully, it's a lower-class demon," He said. "But it may come after us since we rescued Volt and Digi from them."

Scar glanced at the two boys, his expression unreadable. "I see..." He finally said, turning to his brother. "I will help you annihilate him."
