Leo's POV
"She's coding!" Yelled Donnie as he ran around to grab something. Mikey promptly left the room, tears trailing down his cheeks. Donnie charged a machine and yelled at us to step back.
"Clear!" Yelled Donnie as he put the paddles down onto her chest. Her body jolted with the electricity but the heart monitor stayed flat.
"Charging... clear!" He yelled again. He shocked her chest again. Her body jolted up as the shock coursed through her. Still no response. I felt myself begin to panic and saw Raph do the same.
"What's happening? Why isn't she waking up?!" He yelled.
"I don't know! Now step back Raphael!" Donnie yelled back at him.
Time stopped. The constant ring of the flat monitor ringing in my ears. Donnie positioned over her with an intense look in his face. Raph with panic in his eyes as he struggled to keep his emotions in check. And Y/n, laying on the table; completely unresponsive.
Your POV
*Bang*. You felt a shock course through you. When you tried to open your eyes, you realized that you couldn't. It was like you couldn't control your body.
But something was wrong... you hurt... everywhere...
You could hear yelling voices that sounded like they were underwater. You couldn't move. Until you heard a clear voice sound out.
"Y/n," a crystal clear voice said. You opened your "eyes" to see a white light. You shook your head, pain coursing through your entire body. When you looked down at yourself, you realized that your body was undamaged, no scars or cuts. Nothing. And your suit was perfect, just the way it was before-...
Shredder. Memories of your time being tortured came back and ignited more pain all over, even though you had no wounds.
"Where am I? Who are you?" The light responded by morphing into a person...
"Mom?" You said. She came closer to you and nodded.
"Yes my darling." Then she looked at you. "You don't have much time. But you do have to make a choice. I'm so sorry honey. You're dying."
"W-what? I can't be dying. This isn't real. You aren't real," you denied. She looked at you sympathetically.
"I'm sorry to say this is as real as it gets. At the moment, your new friends are attempting to revive your body, since your heart stopped." She stepped closer to you. "So. You have to choose. You can either leave them, that world, and all the pain and suffering behind to join me and your father. Or, you can return to your other family. A certain blue eyed turtle is ready to pass out right about now," she smirked a little bit and you chuckled. But she turned serious once again. "But you must realize, that if you choose to return, there will be struggles ahead to heal. It will take a long time for you to return to a new normal." You nodded your head.
"I know."
"Also, do not take your new family for granted. They'll be there for you the whole time. And you must make sure to mend your relationship with them."
"What do you mean?"
"By leaving them that suddenly, they think you don't trust them." She sighed, but smiled. "But the choice is yours. If you choose to go back, make sure to keep that new boyfriend of yours." You smiled back at her as she faded back into blinding white light.
"Wait;" you called as you covered your eyes. "You can't just leave me like this. How do I choose what to do?" She didn't reply, just disappeared. You sighed and listened closer to the muffled voices, thinking only if the four turtles and Master Splinter.
All of the memories, good or bad, flooded your head.
The choice to stay here with your parents was tempting. No more pain or suffering. But also-... no more Leo. No more Raph, or Donnie, or Mikey. No more experiments with Donnie, no more sparring matches with Raph, no more games with Mikey.
So-... stay here and be with your parents.
Or go back and be with your new family.
You closed your eyes, and made your choice.
Leo's POV
Donnie shocked her once more and checked her vitals. He flopped back onto a chair and sighed.
"She has a pulse." The machine started beeping in a slow but steady rhythm again. We all sighed in relief and it was then that Raph fell to the floor, completely unconscious. I looked at him and then Donnie, who had a semi amused look on his face.
"Just leave him. He'll be fine," he waved it off.
I could feel my heart pounding at the close call.
"Donnie-..." my voice broke off. He rubbed his eyes under his glasses.
"I know. I know." He stood up and looked at me. "We aren't out of the woods yet. We need to finish this. There's no guarantee that her heart won't stop again." He said. I nodded slowly. He went back to the side with the burn.
"Now that Mr. Macho here is passed out, I need you to hold her down," he said. I grimaced and gently grabbed her wrists, holding her down so Donnie could work. This time, she didn't even move. And that was possibly worse than her moving around.
The coppery smell of blood stuck in my nostrils as Donnie finished removing the charred and blackened pieces of melted suit out of the burn. I then realized how many wounds she really had. Her suit was torn so badly, it was merely rags covering small sections of her body. Donnie had to cut off the remainder of the suit, gently changing her into sweats and only wrapped her chest with gauze so he could better access her wounds. She had welts all over, bleeding and red. Cuts littered her body, some deep enough to need stitches, others just on the surface. Her opposite side was yellow and green with bruises, and Donnie said she had some broken ribs. Her shoulder was out of place a bit. There was so much blood, I wasn't sure how she was still alive with how much blood she lost.
Donnie just muttered to himself the whole time he worked, but I barely paid attention. I watched her sleeping face, every twitch of a muscle. Every flutter of her eyelids. Every movement I could see that let me know that she was alive.
"Okay," sighed Donnie. I glanced at him and saw his bloodshot eyes from concentrating on the tiny pieces. "Now I just need to clean it and wrap it. Then we need to deal with the other injuries." He explained. I nodded and felt movement by my foot. Looking down, I saw Raph's eyes fluttering open to stare at me.
"W-what the shell-..."
"You passed out," said Donnie in a monotone voice as he started wrapping her side. Raph just gave a distracted nod.
"I-is she-..."
"Yes, Raphael." Replied Donnie sarcastically. "She's alive. Now if you wouldn't mind, you should probably leave so you don't pass out again. I already have one person to take care of and I don't want to have to add you to that list."
"Fine." Answered Raph angrily after a period of silence. He left and Donnie sighed, finishing up with wrapping the burn.
"Alright. Now for the rest of her." Then he looked at me and bit his lip. "Leo," I turned from Y/n to look at Donnie, who had tears welling up in his hazel eyes.
"Yeah-..."
"I just-... you do know that she-... she might not make it. Her wounds are-.. pretty bad. I'm surprised she hasn't died of blood loss yet. And even if she does make it-... she might not be the same. Three days of torture-..." He trailed off quietly. I stared at him.
"Yeah-... yeah, Donnie. I know," I replied softly. He nodded, wiped his eyes, and got back to work.
I was there the whole time, watching, and helping Donnie when he needed it. Only one thought ran through my mind.
"Please be okay."
