"I'm gonna go to Pahrump Lesi. I won't be gone long because we are gonna keep moving. I want you to help my dad watch over the community while I'm gone" I looked at Rico as he was preparing everything and putting on his mask. He looks at me and puts the tape recorder on the table. I smiled as this was one of the best things that he has done for a while. Finally, his voice is back. "How long until the baby is ready to give life." He grabs his flamethrower.

"Well. It's a boy. And Lelia said a few more weeks." Rico scratches his arm. "Are you ready?" He shrugs and looks at the kids running around.

"Never want to bring a child into the world. Even before all of this." I looked down considering that before this the world was hella bad before. I walk towards Rico and I wrap my arms around him.

"We got this. I can see it already. You go to Pahrump, find some food, and help your people." I kiss his cheek and he walks out the door.

"Also, my dad isn't the only one able to make decisions, it's up to you to keep our people safe." I began to follow him to the gate. He looked at me, caressed my cheek, and kissed me for 10 seconds.

Then leaves...

Thai climbs onto my lap and snuggles into me.

"Hey to you to Thai." I pet him looking at the kids playing by the front gate and I look over the gate to see a person walking towards the entrance. I stood up and grabbed the gun from the side of me. I dashed out of the room and to the ground. I climbed up the ladder and pointed my gun at him.

"Who the hell are you?" I asked, aiming the gun between his eyeballs.

"I'm just looking for a place to settle...Until I heal that is." I looked at his wound and looked at him again. I sighed.

"He can stay in one of the hotels." Rico's dad replies as I look at him crazy. I pull him to the side and look at him.

"Um listen. I understand you want to be this man of God and do what the lord would want you to do but I'm not so sure that God wants us to let him stay here." I look at his wound again. It doesn't look like it was a bite. But, I'm still skeptical about whether he should even settle inside.

"Is this your daughter?" The man asks Rico's dad as I look at him and raise my eyebrow. I don't think he can be my father. I was lowkey shocked. I mean he has been my pastor since I was a little toddler but damn. My father. I nodded no. "Oh I'm sorry. Didn't mean to assume." I shrugged.

"It's okay, I never got told that before. But..." I look around at the kids playing. "You can stay. But you can't explore too much. Your food will be brought to you and you will have a window and air conditioner." I look at him.

"You make me seem like a prisoner." He chuckles as I look at him with a straight face. "You're serious?"

"Does it look like I'm joking?" I grab handcuffs, and cuff his hands. I pick my gun up, urging him to move forward towards the police station.

As we got closer to the police station, my heart began to pound. I might be leading Rico's people into danger. I'm trying everything in my power to keep everyone safe. I walked in and saw a 6 foot infected walking closer to the man.

"Hey girl, can you kill this for me?" I rolled my eyes and walked over to the infected and stabbed him right in his eye. "You did it like you did this before."

"I did, numerous times." I put my knife back in my pocket and walked forward. We finally made it and I tossed him in the cell.

"Your food would be brought to you. You will not leave this cell for anything. If you see any dead, just yell." I uncuff him and walk away.
