"Okay so here's the plan. We are gonna signal them at the carnival." I walk down the ramp. "They have a concert and we might trigger them by going there." I point to the stadium. Rico looks at me with a confused face.

"So, your plan is to signal a helicopter with...music?" He raised his eyebrow as I nodded. "Lesi, out of all the plans you coulda came up with...This is the dumbest plan that I am going along with." I giggle as I look at the children behind us.

"So we are finally going to be safe?" Elena looks at us.

"Yes, Elena, we will all be safe." Rico replied. A part of me is unsure because of everything that has been going on. "I promise you." He hugs her. I smiled. Rico really cares about Elena and it caused him to change a whole lot.

"I'm going to go make the announcement."

"Do that my queen." I snickered.

I walked downstairs and came by the middle of the plaza.

"Hey everyone." Everyone stopped and looked at us. "In a few hours, we will be taking on one of the biggest battles you might have had in your life. See those lights there?" I pointed. "That's our destination. But in order to attract that helicopter. We must fight our way. Look, it might seem scary, it might seem crazy, and it might seem like you don't have this under control. I promise you, we're going to make it and have a way for everyone to be safe. Let's prepare to move out." I sighed as I saw everyone break apart again. Then I saw Cookie.

"Thank you. For being so sweet, Lesi"

"Anytime, all I do is help." I smiled.

"Is Jacket still mad at me?"

"A little. But he'll get over it," I began to reminisce on our actions in the shower."

"Thank you so much Lesi. I feel better. And my child is so happy" I glanced at her son rolling in the grass with the other kids.

"I'm happy to help you guys. But, you should pack up because we're moving out soon.

"That's good." She walks away, grabbing her son and taking him inside.

"Lesi?" I turned to see Rico's dad. "Do you think I should do it?" I look at his hand then back at Rico, then back at him. I can't bear to see his dad with someone else other than Rico's mother. But I also had to understand that he is his own person and he deserves to be happy again. I looked up at him and shrugged trying to persuade him that it's not my decision. "Lesi, I don't want my kids to look at me differently." I raised my eyebrow.

"They have no say in who you should date, or be with. You can do whatever you would like, I'm sure she wants the same for you too." I scratch uneasily.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"I'm worried about Rico," I looked and saw him watching everyone from his window in pain. "He's changing so much and I thought getting him a piano would chill him off a bit."

"That boy is growing up. We can't do much but let him change." I was still confused. Why is he so different? Months ago, he had hope that everything would be okay. Now he is so different. "Think about it like this, he lost his voice, he has to fight trying to keep this colony together, trying to fight to keep everyone safe, and he also has to fight this man who wants nothing from him but his people and his blood. My son has a lot on his plate. When he first encountered us there was nothing here. We built this place from the ground up. It was just us at first, then people saw the lights and they had hope. No hope has disappeared for no one. Not even you." I looked at him and hugged him and cried.

"I'm scared." I cried

"It's okay, I'm here for you."
