lunox is not a hatable character. i'm having second thoughts of ending this book because of her.
He sits quiet yet lost in thoughts, surprised by the shortcomings. Even as when he reached home, he thinks of it restless, now that he had seen how Guinevere reacted to it.
"Does that mean we really have to cut everything off between us? It hasn't even been three years...We still have one more year ahead of us..." Gusion thought fervently to himself inside his room while he watched the sunset.
The current answers he has is not enough to quench his curiousity. He asked his father as he gathered all his strength while he felt the need to be meddlesome.
After all, he did feel that Guinevere was screaming for help inside her head.
He knocked on his father's quarters' door while his father personally opened it. His father smiled after seeing his serious face. Gusion was puzzled by it. Why though?
He stepped inside his room as he loomed around it with his eyes. It has been a while since he last entered it. Almost about years, and he had nearly forgotten how it looked. Yet, there it lied, unchanging, from the positions of the furniture to the picture of his deceased mother after he was born.
His father offered him a cup of tea as he stood unfit for the room's atmosphere. Gusion politely refused, while his father looked out the sun by the window.
"You see, Gusion, Guinevere's father apparently managed to finish whatever business he had here earlier than expected." His father gently said, as he took a whiff of the tea's aroma afterwards.
He then added, as he finally sat down his seat by the sun, with the teacup still in hand; "With that, he has no reason to stay here anymore."
"In the first place, we were purposefully exaggerating when we said you'd have to be fake lovers for three years...and, even though we were able to prevent an all-out war from breaking out thanks to the relationship between you two, the young ones of our family still start fighting whenever they meet."
"...with that, there's no point in staying here anymore."
He then took a sip from his cup, which then resulted to his refreshed expression. He then sat up and walked towards the door, as he was then stopped by Gusion's disapprovement.
"But, Old Man..." He instinctively replied.
"What? Aren't you happy? You don't have to pretend you're lovers anymore! You shpuld be happier! You even have Lunox with you as a result of this conflict." His father happily replied.
"That's true, but..." Gusion defended, only to have a loss in reasoning."
"Oh? So have you two become the real deal while faking it?" His father replied with an appeased expression as he suddenly showed interest.
Gusion blushed in return, as he then defended himself, stuttering, "T-That's not it! It's just..."
He then thought to himself.
It's just...what? Just why am I so bothered by this? I won't have to be fake lovers with her in front of our classmates anymore. I'll just have to tell them about Lunox.
So why do I feel like this? Just...what is this feeling?
In Guinevere's side, she's just as surprised. Of course, it's much worse on her side. She's also feeling quite ambivalent. Her emotions cannot be sorted out.
