"Ms. Gwen..." Lesley replied to Guinevere's unbelievable statement while her eyes widened and the aura she gave off became that of undescribable feeling. She feels pity, yet she's also disappointed. "What in the world are you thinking?! What happened to you?!" Lesley shouted as she grabbed onto Guinevere's shoulders and shook her into consciousness. Her eyes were full of fury. She was worried.
"I...don't know either, Lesley. I'm so confused...sometimes, I feel like I shouldn't have been here. This feeling...it's too hard to convey. This was the reason why I wanted to talk to you, Lesley." Guinevere replied as she looks onto the marble ground. Her emerald eyes glowed bright as she looks at Lesley with her head slightly down. It shook Lesley's core, and she knew that she couldn't resist Guinevere's favor.
"What in the world. Ms. Gwen. I'm dropping it. You should meet my friend to get some advice." Lesley suggested as she grabbed Guinevere's hand and dragged her towards jumping off the balcony.
"Wait! Where are you taking me?" Guinevere interrupted and stopped Lesley as she took form on her jump. She had already placed her feet in high boots on the border, ready to take off in any moment.
"We're going to the Scarlet Flower's branch. It's quite far, and we're going to go there by ourselves. Our only way there is to escape this mansion, as the guards are on higher regard towards you since you are close to getting married. Anyone could kill you, at any moment, at any time. But, I'm not going to allow that. In order to take your life, they will have to pass through me first...Leave everything to me, Guinevere." Lesley had said this while she overlooks at balcony as she sat on the concrete handrail. She looks back to Guinevere to give her a comforting smile, that with her, everything will be just the way they are.
"Okay...I trust you." Guinevere replied as she accepted the hand Lesley was offering.
"Let's go." Lesley replied in a bold manner as they jumped from the handrail, fading and blending into the dark as one, escaping unseen and unnoticed. The night was still young, and the stars were brighter than usual. They shined a little bit brighter than the moon, snatching away it's beauty. As they ran underneath the night sky, she gazes upon it, and reminisces about how she ended up in this split moment.
Their continuous running had suddenly came to a halt when she had smelled the scent of hydrangeas freshly watered.
"We're here." Lesley said while exhausted, walking slowly with Guinevere behind, following her tracks. The closer they went to the main hallways of the Scarlet Faction's branch did the louder the bamboo water fountain sounded, with the lingering scent of strong chrysanthemum blended.
The cold temperature made it look like a haunting place to visit. As they stopped in front of the biggest room in the mansion, Lesley slowly opened the sliding door that made no sound. She had then seen the faction's greatest and most talented ninja, Hanabi. She prayed silent in front of her grandfather's image while wearing a clean, white kimono, as she lights up another incense.
"You came." She quietly mumbled to Lesley and Guinevere with her eyes closed. She then followed; "What is your business, that made you come all the way here?"
The sound of crickets echoed into the mansion grounds. Hanabi then opened her scarlet colored eyes and stood up modestly and caressed her hair like an ideal yamatonadeshiko. She faced them afterwards with her hands on her lap. Lesley stood quiet. Guinevere had noticed this. Why is that?
"You may speak, Sniper." Hanabi speaked.
"Thank you," Lesley replied. "We came here to ask for your help in regarding the Baroque Princess, who came with me. We wish to ask for you advice."
