A loud screech of rocks against his boots was made in the middle of the night in front of the Baroque Mansion, right about when he was to witness another thing he wished he didn't see. Is it cheating? Is it being unfaithful? But they already promised to marry each other.

During the dark and cold night, he finally arrived, blade in hand, ready to slaughter those who get in his way.

Guinevere released her lips from his, and their eyes were giving off weird looks as if they adored each other already for a long time. It was strange...she felt strange.

She met Ling just today, but...her heart already beats like it's exploding. The feeling of Ling staring onto her eyes while he lets her put her hands on his shoulders made her feel special. Something like that.

When Ling was leaning in for another kiss, he kissed her collarbone instead, forcing her to make weird sounds that she didn't expect she could make. He moves from her collar to her neck, to her jaw, and her cheeks...until he reached her soft, small cherry red lips.

They kissed again, but it wasn't like the first time. It felt so erotic, about leading to something.

"L-Ling, we shouldn't be doing this!" Guinevere exclaimed in a whisper as she removed her lips from Ling's and Ling moved onto her neck, leaving kiss marks along the way.

"How can I stop when you're this sweet?"

"I-I'm not ready yet..." she replied nervously, and she feels like she's being pressured once again, her hands cold but her body in heat.

"I'll be here with you." He whispered in a manner that's turning on onto her reddened ear dangling with diamonds, turning fear into trust.

She gave in anyway, for this was all she can do. But, what about Gusion? She would be lying to herself if she says she doesn't love him or worry about him anymore.

Deep down, she has yearning only Gusion can solve. So...

Gwen, what are you doing? She thought to herself, worrisome.

"Gwen."

A masculine voice sounding too familiar for her to hear shattered the moment between a savage assassin and a beautiful princess. She thought it was just Ling himself, yet she knew he calls her Ms. Violet himself. She turned her head around and saw his figure.

When she saw him, her eyes widened and heartbeat's pace was fastened. She saw him drenched in sweat, blade in hand while huffing thin air, depending on only that after a whole day's worth of running.

He didn't look angry. He looked seriously disappointed, about the promise and on Gwen. The halls where too quiet. Gusion's dripping sweat can even be heard. As well as the insanely fast pace of her beating heart.

"Gusion...I can explain."

"Okay. But before you can do that, let's not talk to each other again."

"H-Huh? What do you mean?"

Gusion went silent for a second. He gulped, and explained everything in mere seconds.

"I've remembered everything. From 10 years ago. To think that you're that girl from the past I made a promise with and looking at you now, I've made a huge mistake."

"Y-You know I still love you right?"  She said, explaining things in every way she can.

"Then who the fuck is this dumbass? Is it him? The Sky Arch savage? Do you even know who he is?"

"I-I do know him. But if I were to choose I'd still choose you."

"Then why not do it earlier? I can't believe I'm being exiled permanently because of you."

"We can still fix this!"

"We can't. That's why we should break up. I knew this would happen, I couldn't believe I wasted my time here." Gusion finally ended the conversation and turned his back against the two, walked steps yet again, suddenly stopped and followed;

"I saw everything, you know. Gwen...I'm disappointed. And angry, of course. But just so you know...I still love you too."

"Gusion...don't just leave..."

"See ya, Guinevere."

He continued his path and finally left. When he called Gwen by her full name, it pierced her heart and smashed it into pieces. She knew in that point, the respect itself is already gone.

She lied to herself. And it cost the man she truly loves.

The moon's light was peaking onto the sky-high windows. She was starting to tear up, and she clutched to her frilly gown in anger and heartbreak.

"Ling, takes for walking me here. I'll go on by myself now." She said, her voice all shaky for she's holding back all the sadness.

"Okay. Call me when you need something. I'll be here."

"Okay."

When Ling left, tears came down like waterfalls. She couldn't take it, losing the most important person in her life, the person that has been with her much more than her beloved brother. Now, she'd had to endure endless comings of marriage arrangements, and it was all her fault.

"Gusion...I'm sorry...I'm sorry..." she whispered woefully, losing all her strength and fell sat on the hardwood hallway clutching to her chest.

In the end, regret ruled her small and fragile heart.

"Goddamn it, Alucard. I haven't noticed I'm this easy to replace." Gusion said as he punched him out of anger and disappointment.

Gusion, Alucard, and Ruby met on the mansion's gate as if they already knew what happened.

"Let's just leave this place for now, man. So much has happened."

Indeed, so much has happened.

"Gusion, let's get married. You and me, forever."

Another lucid dream of the past has filled Gusion's imagination again and again after that incident. He would always try to hold the hand that girl has been offering him, the girl which is actually Guinevere.

He always woke up sweaty, as if he had a haunting nightmare. But, he was only haunted by the past he sees fitting for his love story, and that love story has been broken days ago.

"Sir, I have already prepared your bath."

"Thanks, Hector. I'll be right there."

The little lad immediately turned back to his original routine before he met Her, and the memories of their first encounter still lingers like it just happened yesterday.

After a bath, he dressed up, ate, and went to the academy. This time, he didn't have someone to wait for him and greet him Good Morning first things first.

He did admit life without her is different. Thus, what she did is still wrong.

"Hey, Gusion. You okay?" Ruby asked Gusion while they were headed for their first class.

While walking, he bumped into an unknown acquaintance, wearing a bow with ginger hair.

"Sorry." He said.

"S-Sorry." She said clumsily picking her books up and he helped, but when he took glimpse of who that girl was, he immediately stood up and left.

The girl was Guinevere.

Of course, she was disappointed. It turns out Gusion was serious about the words he said. She couldn't think of a way to start off her apology.

Just before they noticed it, the space between them has grown larger and larger, second per second, hour by hour, day by day.
