Cold wind and and mixed emotions. That was all he could feel, after all. The sudden announcement has shaken up most of the class, and to lose an important friend, everyone is affected.
With the news scattered almost the whole academy, Lesley stares back to the people who has been looking at her now that they know what is going to be her outcome as she dwelled by the vending machines with sternness.
"Huh..? Lesley?" Gusion surprisingly greeted her, along with a flabbergasted expression on his face.
"What are you doing here?" He curiously added.
"Gusion Paxley..." Lesley replied as she then turns her head around from gazing at her fellow students to his direction.
"...Well, nothing really. What are you doing here?" Lesley added, returning Gusion's question to her back.
"Just wanted to get some soda. They're sold out everywhere else." Gusion wearily replied as he headed for the machines by her side.
Looking at the huge pile of boxes and flowers behind her back, he was quite startled.
What the hell are those?
"Anyway, Lesley...What's with that?" Gusion awkwardly asked, as he pointed his finger towards the mountain of what he assumes as gifts lying dormant behind her.
"Ah, this? I received all this from people claiming to be members of my fan club. Just what on earth..." Lesley also awkwardly replied, as she handpicked one of the chocolate gifts she has and gives it to Gusion.
"So it really exists?" Gusion thought to himself, as he received Lesley's offer. He then quickly showed his thanks for her by waving his hand.
The sun rays permeated through the outdoor corridors. It felt strange. The sun didn't feel that painful to the skin despite summer. He thought it was the signal of it finally coming to a close as spring closes in.
"By the way...looks like you'll be transferring soon, right?" Gusion asked, while he picked on the chocolate Lesley gave him as it played around his slender fingers.
Gusion then turned back to the vending machine again, pressing buttons in order to get his awaited soda. With the sounds it created, it somehow kept the mood from growing dry.
"Are you still going to school once you're back in France?" He followed, as the can dropped to the open slot of the machine, creating a loud noise.
"No...most likely not." Lesley sadly replied, with an undescribable expression on her face. Even she was feeling ambivalent. How strange.
"The only reason I ended up going to this school was on Sir Lancelot's orders, to observe you and Guinevere." Lesley explained, still with the mixed feelings she possesses. Gusion crouches down to grab his drink as he then bought another one, giving it to Lesley.
"...If that becomes necessary, I'm sure that I'll just end up cycling through many places when I'm on one of my missions. I might not get to see you again." Lesley quietly added, with the last sentence hurting her heart a little.
"I see." Gusion ended in defeat, as he looks up the summer-colored sky.
"Looks like you'll be a bit lonely too. You were having so much fun with school life, after all." Gusion earnestly replied while he observed the fizz from his soda pop, one by one in unbalanced harmony.
"Wha..! Why would I? It was just a mission..." Lesley, flustered, tried to prove him wrong. Only when realizing that he was truthfully correct, she was left behind in speechlessness.
