When the dna test for witch blood comes up negative we have our answer. An endangered species, as Nathan put it.
He promised to keep it between us, looking bored by the time we left.
"Yeah yeah, no telling cnn." He calls sarcastically, shutting the door and locking us out.
I stare at the closed door, a little stunned.
He'd just thrown us out...
I turn when I hear a tap on the window. His dark blue eyes were peering at us.
He points at us, then our car, waving dismissively.
"He's a dick." Ethan mutters.
Nathan flips Ethan off before shutting his blinds.
I take a deep breath, unable to find humor in this like Nathan.
I would be killed if anyone knew what I was. That wasn't something I could brush off.
I walk slowly back to the car, setting my sleeping brother in the back seat of the car Erik would drive home.
Cas was the only one who looked exited.
For the first time in days he was smiling?
I don't ask, and he doesn't tell.
I just get into the car and sit beside Damon.
"How are you feeling?" He asks, kissing my mark gently. I shiver involuntarily.
"Better." My legs were still a little wobbly, but overall I wasn't to sore.
"So what does what Nathan said mean?" I wait for an answer, and when it doesn't come I shift anxiously.
"It means we start training you. seers had specific training methods. If you can sharpen this gift then maybe you can figure things out." Ethan didn't sound confident.
He didn't feel confident in me, or my gift?
I try not to think much as I relax, pulling myself into the front seat. He was driving but he moves his seat back and lets me sit in his lap.
I hold Raiden's hand and put my headphones on.
It doesn't take long before I fall asleep.
Ethan's point of view:
I cross my arms tightly, watching Lilly stand across from Erik.
He was in a fighting stance and she was standing straight up, her eyes glossy.
"Okay first tip, maybe stand in a defensive position." I suggest.
I move Lilly's feet and square her shoulders.
"Okay. Now can I do this?" She asks impatiently.
I hear Erik chuckle.
"If you hurt her I'll kill you." I warn.
"He's kidding. Don't go easy."
Her words draw a wince from my brothers.
I step away and watch as Erik moves toward her.
I resist the urge to jump in as his leg moves swiftly out to knock the ground out from under her. Lilly jumps back quickly.
Another attack, a kick to the stomach, is dodged by Lilly.
I watch as she continues to block every attack with surprising ease. She doesn't take the offensive, which draws the fight out.
She had a good fighting form. Her body was tense, prepared for an attack.
