I open the door and raise an eyebrow.

"Please don't be mad." Damon begs.

"Why wouldn't I? My little brother is out there." Damon rubs his temples.

I keep my voice calm.

The only way to beat them was to outsmart them.

"I know. You should be mad. But it's to late. We can't go back in time." They both knew that was a loud of shit.

"You let your brother go out there too?" They both wince. My voice may be calm but it still had venom.

"That's a cowardly thing to do." Raiden flinches.

"I'm tired and you're right. We can't make it unless you let me fly, which isn't happening, right?" They don't respond.

That was answer enough.

It's weird how quickly my brain flips on them.

The biggest betrayal they could have possibly pulled.

For the first time I wasn't on their side.

I cross my arms tightly.

I glance at Damon's watch. I still had sixteen minutes and then this would all be over.

"Are you hungry?" Raiden asks hesitantly.

"Theirs a restaurant down-" I cut Damon off.

"Room service is fine." He nods quickly.

"Now please." I add curtly.

Damon grabs the phone and quickly orders food.

I knew they'd have it here in minutes. When you were rich enough you didn't have to wait.

Sadly I wasn't rich so I had to wait fifteen minutes to be done with the first part of my plan.

I slip back into the bathroom.

I shouldn't feel guilty after what they did to me, but still as I grab the strong sleeping pills Raiden packed for me to take before the plane ride I can't help second guessing myself.

Was their some other way?

No. I knew their wasn't. I tuck the pills into my pocket and walk into the living room as room service arrives.

I sit down as Raiden pushes a plate toward me.

I was so tired and sore but still I manage to stay angry enough to go through with the plan.

"Can I have a jacket? I'm cold?" Raiden nods and disappears.

"And some water?" I ask Damon. He glances toward the door, probably calculating how fast I could run vs how fast he could catch me.

He must like his odds because he gets up and I hear the sink running .

I grab the food and sprinkle it with enough sleeping pills to take out a elephant.

I knew it wouldn't kill them but they'd be out for an hour at least.

After about thirty minutes Ethan would get suspicious but I'd take their phones and text him now and then to keep him updated on their plan.

I take a bite of a cookie which had no trace of sleeping pills.

I push a burger toward Damon and he eats, his eyes in the floor guiltily.

He didn't seem to regret it though.

Remorse and guilt were different things.

He was sad he got caught, not sad he did it.
