You'd think that two weeks and four days would be enough time for Oikawa Toru to get adjusted to his new manager.

It was not.

In all honesty, she was a good manager, her having volleyball experience helped her out when she searched for weak points in the players to give them advice to help them improve.
"Kunimi," Yumi called the boy over, making him wince. "I know, Yumi-san," he muttered, making her smirk, giving him a thumbs up as he turned back to his practice. 'Kunimi never listens to me,' Oikawa thought, his sets very slowly getting sloppy. "Get your head in the game, Dumbkawa!"

That snapped him back into the practice 3 on 3. He would never admit it, but he was a smidge jealous of Yumi. He's the captain, his teammates are supposed to come to him for help and tips. Maybe he's selfish, fine, sue him. But they've always managed without a manager. But now everyone is like how did we ever manage without her. As the days passed the boys watched their small manager struggle to reach things that are taller than her. That didn't mean, however, that she didn't get it.

"She's like a monkey, the way she climbs."
"I don't think she'll appreciate that one."
"So tiny, she could fall."

They were very opinionated of their manager.
"She's ever cuter than Karasuno's babe manager!"
"Shut it, idiots."
"Yikes, sorry Iwaizumi-san."
Oikawa didn't think she was that pretty, but to each his own.
"Ow! Oikawa-san you hit me on purpose!" Well, maybe he got hit because of his bad taste. "Sorry, my hand slipped," he laughed, catching the ball once thrown back. "Are you okay?" Yumi asked Yahaba, who gave her a smirk. "I am now that you're here," he flirted, Oikawa watching the two in disgust. "Then fix your posture please," she said before turning away, Watari laughing at his face's distraught face. "So cold," he whined, making Oikawa roll his eyes. "Do you really think that's the way to a girl's heart, pea brain? Watch," Oikawa told his underclassmen before walking towards Yumi.

"Oh, Oikawa-san, don't-"
"Shut it Watari."
"But Iw-"
"I'll hit you I swear."
"Yumi!" Oikawa turned the girl around to face him, a sweet smile on his face. "You know, I had a dream about you last night."
"I-"
"Moronkawa! Do you ever think before you speak? Like honestly think?"
"Oh! Iwa-chan, you're here with her. What are you, her bodyguard?"
"Stupidkawa, don't try me."
"Alright, alright, let it go Iwa."
"Uh, I'm gunna go," Yumi muttered, walking away from the embarrassed Oikawa and the laughing second years, watching the other players practice and taking down tips. "Jesus, do you want her to hate you? She's already agreeing to way more bothering from you than she agreed to, do you want her to leave?"
"Yes."
"Well too bad Oikawa. Yumi is here to stay and that's final, captain."
As Iwaizumi walked away, Oikawa realized what bothered him the most about Yumi. It was because she didn't like him and he doesn't even know why or what he did! He's not used to girls not liking him. He's used to girls falling for him and fawning over him. He's Aoba Johsai and volleyball's it boy, he was the hottest boy alive for god's sake. So, to deal with the fact that he wasn't liked by Yumi, he resorted to different methods.

"Woops! Sorry Yu-chan, I-"
"I didn't get hit so stop talking to me."

"Yoohoo, Yu-chan! Can you-"
"Matsukawa-san can you give this to your captain?"
"Sure thing manager. Oikawa catch!"
"Ouch!"

"Iwaizumi-senpai, when you're jumping to block-"
"Yu-chan! Refrain from changing my ace, thank you!"
"Moron, she's helping me improve. What are you doing besides being an idiot?"

Needless to say, Oikawa's attempts to mess and bother and even fluster or flirt with Yumi have all been ending in failure. He didn't get it. What was so good about this girl, she had the whole team wrapped around her finger. Especially his best friend, who was always constantly watching over her. "I'm only making sure that she's adjusting well to being with the team," Iwaizumi sighed once Oikawa pestered him for watching over Yumi so much. "I'd be careful if I were you, Iwa. People will begin to think you like her or something," Oikawa told him, earning an irritated look from Iwaizumi. Oikawa couldn't explain the feeling of tightness in his stomach- oh wait yes he could. "Hey handsome," Oikawa smirked, staring at himself shirtless in the locker room mirror. It was the end of practice, but the coaches wanted them to come back to the gym before they left. He couldn't help but wonder why, they usually get their announcements over and done with before practice. Maybe they forgot to tell them something?
