"Cover!"

"Sorry, my bad!"

It was almost a performance of sorts that the second and first years got to watch as they watched Yumi, Iwaizumi and Matsukawa on one team and Hanamaki, Oikawa and Mad Dog on the other. No one expected Yumi to separate Iwaizumi and Oikawa, so when she did, much to Oikawa's dismay, Mad Dog was becoming much more unbearable to control. "Mad Dog, go back!" Oikawa shouted out, Mad Dog rolling his eyes at his captain but deciding to listen this time. But that was only because he wanted a running start.

"Maki! Wait, Mad Dog no!"

It was too late, however, because in the middle of it all Mad Dog had managed to shove Hanamaki out of the way and stole the set that was intended for the boy, only to get blocked by Iwaizumi and Matsukawa. Yumi smirked at the scene, shaking her head at the boys. "A real shame, really. The boy has great raw talent, but he's too stupid to listen," Yumi taunted, getting the evil stare from Mad Dog. "Shouldn't you be focused on your own team," Mad Dog seethed making Yumi roll her eyes. "I don't have to worry about them, because they're not temperamental angry little boys. My serve," Yumi said with a sweet smile as she got thrown the volleyball. The biggest shocker to everyone was probably Yumi herself and her playing. It was amazing, the way she played without second guessing herself. She worked well and quickly with Iwaizumi and Matsukawa, who weren't even breaking a sweat. It was strange and intriguing to the rest of the team, how the three of them didn't have to make any unnecessary moves, and it was as if they were reading the others like an open book. And on top of that, Yumi's sets-

"The ball's going to drop!"

"Not on my watch," Yumi yelled, before running and sliding onto one knee and getting underneath the ball. "Matsu!" Yumi yelled as she set the ball up and towards the edge of the net where Matsukawa was patiently waiting for the ball to be set to him, a smirk on his face as he saw Mad Dog and Hanamaki rush to cover him but being too late as the ball slammed down onto the other side of the court. The second and first years clapped for their members as Kunimi added a point to Yumi's side. "13-11 in Yumi's favor," Kindaichi announced as Yumi smirked. Oikawa, however, was extremely displeased. What was he doing wrong? Why was he not in the lead right now? He was doing everything he could do to go for the kill, he even threw some hardballs, only for Yumi to dig it up. Hell, if he wasn't going to win with his sets, he'd try to win with his serves. But it was almost impossible, not with Yumi. She didn't let her guard down, always alert and on the tips of her feet, ready to spring into action. She was by far, leading up to Kageyama status. A natural born prodigy. Except for one thing, which was that she resonated her energy with her teammates. "I'm so damn glad we're the opposite gender, Yumi-chan," Oikawa muttered to himself, before focusing back onto the game. Now, think Oikawa, think. You're two down, you have to constantly check to make sure Hanamaki isn't going to murder Mad Dog, and then there's Mad Dog himself who's a huge problem. What do you do? "Time!" Oikawa shouted out, putting his hands in time out mode. Yumi's eyebrow raised, she waved it off, allowing them a moment to recover. "Oikawa, please tell me you let us take a time out so that I can ki-"

"Maki, focus more on receiving."

"I'm sorry?"

"I'm letting Mad Dog take over all the spikes from now on. But the first one he lets drop on our side of the court? He will not receive a set from me ever again," Oikawa instructed, Mad Dog turning to look at his captain in curiosity. "Just stop sending shitty sets," Mad Dog scoffed as he headed back into position, Hanamaki looking at Oikawa. "You're teaching him a lesson, aren't you?" Hanamaki muttered, making Oikawa smirk proudly. "Of course I am," Oikawa said cheerily as the both of them headed back to the court. His demeanor has completely changed, the relaxed and nonchalant Oikawa disappearing and the snarky, taunting Oikawa during a match appeared. "Yahoo, Yumi-chan! I just thought it'd be fair to tell you, but I'm feeling really extremely good," Oikawa cooed as she smirked back at him. "I could say the same thing about myself," she chirped, the pretty setters not breaking eye contact with one another as a teammate who was playing referee whistled, signaling the start of the match.
