I looked at grumpy George, waiting for him to tell us what to do.
He facepalmed. "Alright guys, Sapnap said make a wall around the village, so um, give me most of your wood and make a little tree farm so we don't have to go out for more."
I gave him a stack of logs and helped a6d find his in his backpack.
George sighed. "I'll work on the wall, since, yeah. After you guys plant the saplings, Dream walk around and make sure there's no holes or ravines in the ground for a6d to fall in. You can smooth it out too, but don't go outside the village. Make sure you stay next to a6d all the time."
"What should I do?" A6d asked.
"Uh if you block yourself in somewhere then Dream can leave you but otherwise you're not safe on your own, sorry, we just really need you to stay alive."
"You can just keep me company," I said kindly, thinking about how disappointing it must be to feel useless.
"Oh actually- a6d you can place torches around, since we have to do that too. Just put one on the ground every... ummmm-" he walked over blocks and counted paces- "every fifteen paces or so just put a torch down, that'll help. Dream you can do that too."
"Cool," I said.
"Oh and collect the rest of the haybales. They break the fastest with a hoe."
"What's a hoe?" I asked.
"Your mum." George chuckled, but we just looked confused so he rolled his eyes.
"A tool." He snorted. "Okay okay you make it and use it to plant stuff."
"Oh I saw Bad using that for our garden," a6d commented.
"How do you make it?" I asked.
"Two sticks vertically like most tools and then on the top row put two cobble in the center and right space."
"Got it." I can remember that. "What about using iron or diamond though?"
"If you make a diamond hoe I will run you through with it," George said passive-aggressively.
"Save your diamonds for important stuff. Hoes are useless as hell, just make it with cobble or wood, it's not even worth iron.""Okay," I was a little scared of angry George, but part of me liked it bizarrely.
"You made a diamond hoe out of my diamonds one time," George said huffily. "It was so annoying cuz those were the only ones I had."
"Oh, I'm sorry. It was probably an accident"
"No you stole them, it was on purpose," George grumbled. "Whatever, it's fine. Just get started on your stuff and I'll go build a wall by myself wondering what choices led me here in life."
He shambled away."What was that about?" A6d asked.
I watched him leave. "I dunno, he doesn't like being alone. And he's probably mad because he always is after losing Rock Paper Scissors to Sapnap. And he also had a rough day yesterday."
"Oh, is he okay?"
"Yeah, we better get to work on this. Here's some of my saplings. Stand next to me and we can plant them in lines."
"Okay, oh sorry." He bumped into me and almost put his hand in my sleeve trying to take the saplings.
"It's okay," I laughed.
"Too bad I can't see what you look like," a6d said. "I've only seen Skeppy and Bad."
"Well I'm very handsome, definitely more than both of them combined." I got him to laugh as we started planting the trees.
