(Location:School Hallway)
School is like a jail, they have each person assigned lockers and seats for each grade. Even each student has a ID number. I basically feel like I’m locked in an institution. Me and Molly hang out around the lockers, as I try and organize my books and folders inside my locker.
"Come on Haiden," Molly sighs.
"No, no way. Not happening," I state.
"Come on, please. You can’t be scared anymore. Just ask him," Molly begs.
"I can’t just go up to him and ask about a homework paper," I say.
"Yes you can, its called socializing," Molly quotes.
I rolls my eyes at her. I know Molly is just trying to help me, but I don’t need help. Yes I will admit, I’m deathly afraid to talk to boys especially Connor Smith. That boy is just…"Mmm" he just has this way of making me feel numb, just from seeing him smile. I’m weird I know but c’mon I’m a girl, I think like this all the time.
"No its called making a fool out of myself," I say.
"You won’t make a fool out of yourself," Molly says.
"I always do Molly, thats why I never talk," I state.
"Listen Haiden, I know you like him. If you ever want a chance with this guy, you need to talk to the damn boy," Molly says.
At that moment, Connor Smith, walks down the hall. I glance up at him, and see him flash me a smile. "Morning Haiden," he says.
I try not to blush, so I return the smile back. "Morning Connor," I say.
Once he disappears down the hall, I can’t help but smile wide about me and Connor’s first morning greeting.
"Earth to Haiden," Molly waves her hand in my face, which snaps me out of my trace.
"Sorry I-," I begin to say.
"C’mon lover girl," Molly jokes.
I swat her arm lightly and we both chuckle softly. I grab my books for homeroom, then head to the classroom. Once I arrive, I immediately go and sit in my usual seat. As I search in my bag to find a pencil, I see a figure pass by, and takes a seat right beside me. When I look up, my heart stops for a second then, starts again. Its Connor.
"You don’t mind if I sit here do you?" he asks with a smile.
