Chapter 12: Escape...

(Connor's POV)

Its been around three days, still my cousins have been keeping me and Haiden held hostage. There were a few times that Haiden would start panicking, but I just talked with her to calm her down. I told her I was going to get her out of here, when my cousins left the room. I had to be sneaky. Everytime they would leave the room I would slowly undo the rope that was wrapped around my wrists. Finally the last chance I got to undo the rope, I was able to slip in or out of the grip of the rope.

Thats when Marcus walked in the room, where me and Haiden were kept. He walked over to Haiden and took off any jewelry she had on. It was odd because she never wore any jewelry before. Marcus removed a paper airplane necklace, from around her neck. It was the oddest little charm I've ever seen. Yet it seemed familiar to me. I remember giving a girl I met when I was about six years old, one of those. We were best friends, her name was.... wait what her name again?.. To be honest Haiden reminded me a lot of that girl. They both seemed so similar, almost like they could be.....twins or sisters.

"Alright, you two we're moving out of this place tonight. The other cops know about little mister Connor being friends with Haiden. So their coming to check out the house tomorrow, but we will be gone by then," Mark explains.

He leaves the room, and me and Haiden are left alone. Haiden stands up, as I see her ropes have been cut. Somehow she managed to get out of them. It surprised me, I watched as she approached me. I could not explain what was happening, but I must had been dreaming because her eyes were solid black.

"Haiden?...," I say a bit scared.
