Chapter 14

Augustus Waters
I got a call at 3:00 in the morning. My eyes filled with tears. I feel as though it's the same thing as my parents did to Hazel, Beatrice died. I answered the phone. "Hello?" I asked. "Augustus Waters?" a women asked. Beatrice's mom. "Speaking," I said. "Hi Gus. I know it's early but I need you to come to the hospital," she said nervous. "Okay. Is everything alright?" I asked. "Yes. Beatrice isn't waking up but she is shaking so much of fear," she said. I hung up without saying anything else. I ran out and tried to fly but I couldn't. I ran extra fast and was in Chicago in a snap. I rushed over to the hospital and ran in were I saw her parents staring in a window. I ran over and saw Beatrice shaking so much. It's not like a chill shaking but like a electric shake. I banged on the window and yelled. The doctors pulled me away and I was still yelling. My eyes filled with tears and a few ran down. "Beatrice!" I yelled as they closed the door so I couldn't see her. They put me in the waiting room. I sat down and put my head in my hands rocking back and forth. "Augustus Waters?" a nurse called a few minutes later. I stood up. "Come with me," she said. I followed her and she brought me to Beatrice. She was awake, and hugging her dad. "Beatrice," I whispered but she still heard it. She turned around and stared at me. "Beatrice, are you alright?" I asked walking forward. "Augustus, what did we win?" she whispered to me. "What? We haven't won anything," I said. "I.. I... I'll tell you later," she said walking away. I ran after her and grabbed her arm. "Beatrice, what's going on?" I asked. She stared right through me. "I have to know who he is," she whispered. I looked at her right in the eyes. "Beatrice, let's go and you can explain yourself," I said. She just nodded and started to walk. I followed. We exited the hospital then she stopped and looked at me normally. She stared at me for awhile. "Gus," she whispered then hugged me. It was awkward because it was a random hug but I hugged her back. "What's this about?" I asked still in the hug. She ended it. "Augustus, I need to tell you something later today, over the Bureau, please," she said. "Okay," I said back. She smiled than ran away. I didn't want to chase her, it's only 5 in the morning. So, I just went back home and starting thinking about what she was talking about. I have to know.
