Augustus Waters
I was lying down when I heard a knock on my door. I was hoping it was Tris when I opened the door. It was Caroline. "Caroline, I don't have time right now so if we could do this later," I said while closing the door then she put her foot out in the door. "Augustus, I need to talk to you," she said giving me a sad look. I opened the door. "Be my guest," I said. She smiled and walked in. "Want something to drink?" I asked. "Sure, uh, champagne?" she asked. I smiled. I took out two wine glasses and poured champagne. I gave her one and we did a toast. "To death," I said. "To death," she said back. I took a deep sip and I put it down on the counter. "So, what is so important that you needed to talk to me," I asked. "Augustus, I heard about Beatrice," she said with a sad face. "Yea. What did you hear? Many things have happened," I asked. "I heard that you too are dating, she got shot two times, you were a saver, and she almost died of fear," she said. "Yea. That all happened. Maybe not about me being a saver but," I said ending my sentence early. "Augustus, you were a saver. Do you really want to keep risking your life her? What's so important about her to you? Or is it just because she looks like Hazel?" she asked. I had to think about it. I now I love her, but is it just because she looks like Hazel? "I love her just the way she is, not because she looks like Hazel," I said walking away to my bedroom and I lied down. She walked in with my champagne and hers. I grabbed mine and put it on my night stand. She lied down next to me and stared at me. I stared back. "Augustus, I love you," she said smiling. I stared at her longer. I don't know what to say. "I think you should leave Caroline," I said signing. Her smile faded. "Alright," she said getting up. I stayed in bed. She took her champagne and brought it to the kitchen. Caroline is nice and all, but I think I love Tris. I think. I hope. I do.
