Chapter 13- Dragons why Dragons

Marigolds POV

As the morning of November 24 dawned, I was up in the Astronomy Tower looking out over the land. Today the first task would happen, after lunch we would be going to face Dragons. I was alone for only a moment when Severus came up behind me. As his arms came from behind me and wrapped around my waist, I felt the strength of his love. 

"I missed you next to me when I woke up" he said into my ear. 

I turned and brought my arms around his neck, kissing him passionately. His strong arms around me making me feel safe and warm. How I loved this man, he was my rock. I presented a more confident woman, but I was nervous and on edge. I did have a sort of confidence but it was only due to these extraordinary powers I have been imbued with. 

I had sent Dobby to the Champions tent with my outfit before making my way to the astronomy tower. Since I was an adult I was not representing Hogwarts, The Ministry took me as their representative. They wanted to know if I would win, but I didn't look for that in my visions. I just wanted the safety of the others. My safety was already assured, thanks to the higher powers. 

As Severus and I looked out over the beautiful scenery, the sun warming my skin. After standing together for awhile, we decided to make our way down to breakfast. As we passed many students wished me luck.. I ate lightly and talked with Albus and Severus. Harry looked to be nervous and not eating, so I went over and reassured him. 

As I returned to my seat, I caught Hagrids thoughts, the six Dragons had arrived during the night. They were a nasty bunch. My mind filled with strategy, I needed to calm myself. At that secon, Severus' hand was on mine. I looked at him and he smiled, he could sense my anxiety and calmed me right away. I smiled at him and felt at ease.

While he went and taught, I stayed with Sirius. I was still not supposed to be alone and Severus made sure the Sirius kept an eye on my.As he put his arm around me he asked. "Are you nervous"

"Yes and No." I replied. "I am more nervous for Harry then myself."

"Harry will be fine, he is so like his parents. Smart and brave" Sirius said. 

Yes Harry inherited the best of his parents. They would be so proud of him. As we walked around the school. I was anxious to see Severus, the closer lunch got the more anxious I became. His class was over and I knew he would make an appearance any second. I felt him coming, I knew he was getting close. And as Sirius and I rounded a corner, there he was walking toward us. I immediately hugged him.

"Are you ready for lunch darling" Severus asked. 

Looking at him, I nodded and we all walked toward the Great Hall. When we arrived, sirius went over to talk with Harry and Severus and I went and sat at the staff table. I ate some soup and bread, while I saw Harry looking up toward me. I nodded at him and motioned him to eat. He smiled at me and went about nibbling on some chicken and drinking some juice. 

After lunch was done we were aloud an escort to the champions tent. Sirius went with Harry, Cedric arrived with his father,Severus was with me, while Igor Accompanied Viktor and Maxime escorted Fleur. We were told to change into our uniforms. Mine was something of my choosing since I didn't represent the school. I chose a tight black Dragon skin leather jumpsuit, leather thigh high boots and braided my hair. My wand was positioned up my left sleeve. 

As I left my dressing area, Severus looked at me in awe. "You have yourself a beautiful wife Snape" Sirius and Albus said at the same time.

'Yes I do' Severus replied as he came over to me.

"You are stunning, that dragon doesn't stand a chance against you" he whispered in my ear.

I smiled, knowing I had two to go against instead of one. After all the champions were  done dressing, we assembled together in the tent. I realized everyone knew about the dragons from a third party. Just as well.
