For the Love Of Severus Snape- Book 2

Chapter 2-The Welcoming Introduction

I awoke the morning of September 1st feeling like I could conquer the world. As I gazed at my left hand, the beautiful purple stone glistened in the light. I was engaged to the man I have loved since I was a little girl. I went and showered and dressed, I brushed my hair and waved my wand over it to dry. I put on my purple Professors robe and headed to Severus' quarters. The door was open as it always was and he was sitting there reading the Daily Prophet. He looked over the top of his paper as I approached, a slight smile on his face.

"How are the students going to concentrate on their potion making" he said "You are so beautiful, you'll distract them" he teased. 

"Well it will be a nice change for them from their last Professor" I joked. He laughed and came over to me and kissed me good morning. The students would be arriving around 6pm, we would be having a staff meeting over breakfast to discuss the security and preparations for the guests who would be arriving in October,as well as the champions competing in the tournament.

This year promised to be a memorable one for all three schools. All safety measures were in place, there would be no Barty Crouch Jr to interfere now. But we still took every precaution to insure the safety of the champions.

Most of the day consisted of Severus and I walking the grounds, It was a beautiful day, and spending it with Severus made for it to be that much better. As we strolled hand in hand, I couldn't get over the overwhelming love I had in my heart at this very moment. I thought I loved him during my vision, but now I feel a greater love then I did in my vision.

Severus seemed so much more relaxed and happy. I know that the removal of the Dark Mark was part of it, but he said I was the main reason. All of the happiest times I spent were with him and now I guess I was his happiest memories. 

I found my self just entranced, not by the scenery but by the smile on his face. Over the years I never saw him smile, and now it was intoxicating to me. I was so happy that I was the one who created that smile. 

"What has caused that beautiful smile" Severus asks.

"You, you are the reason behind all of my smiles" I say to him.

We stop walking and he takes me into his arms, I look up into his face, the most handsome face in my world. As he brushes the hair away from my eye, and his hand grazes my cheek my eyes look deeply into his.

"And you are the reason I can smile now" he says to me as his lips inch closer to mine. 

A kiss, a sweet gentle kiss. My heart takes wings as his lips meet mine, my whole body is warmed by his proximity. As our lips part and my head rest on his chest, I am overwhelmed with the emotions I am feeling. I never thought in my wildest dreams that this day would be as wonderful, I had hoped and wished, but it was better then any vision, any dream or any wish.

As we proceed back to the Castle, arm in arm. I felt like our love was lighting the world. As we entered into the great hall, we went up and sat in our seats Severus to the right of Albus and I to Severus' right. The second through seventh years are arriving and seating themselves, once they are settled then it is time for Professor McGonagall to bring in the first years for sorting. 

After the sorting ceremony is finished the feast begins. I spot Harry and he waves to me. I smile and wave back. All are enjoying the bounty of food before them and once things beging to quite down Albus rises to give his Welcoming Speech.

"So!" he began."Now that we are all fed and watered,I must once more ask for your attention while I give out a few notices.Mr Filch, the caretaker, has asked me to tell you that the list of objects forbidden inside the castle has this year been extended to include Screaming yo-yo's, Fanged Frisbees and Ever Bashing Boomerangs. The full list comprises of some four hundred and thirty-seven items, I believe, and can be viewed in Mr Filch's office, if anybody would like to check it.As ever, I would like to remind you all that the Forest in the grounds is out of bounds to students, as is the village of Hogsmeade to all those below third year.It is also my painful duty to inform you that the inter-house Quidditch Cup will not take place this year." Many of the students began to grumble at this news.
