Janet hadn't slept the entire night, she just sat smiling as Katrina lay soft asleep against her, a permanent slight smile on her sleeping face. She sat thinking about what had happened, thinking about the future, hoping Katrina wouldn't forget what had been said, she was very drunk after all.

She sat playing with Katrina's golden hair, raked it gently through her fingers.

She suddenly heard the Katrina's front door open and Chad emerged. It was 9am, she had forgotten to go pick up Riley. Chad's head appeared around the corner, "Hey Janet, you forgot about the little dude again. You really need to stop doing that or I'm not baby sitting agai-" he suddenly stops talking as he enters fully into the room and sees the two women sitting curled up in each other's arms. "I knew it wasn't just some weird intimate friendship thing. What's going on between you two." Katrina woke up abruptly at this point from to the sound of Chad's iconic voice, hearing "Uhhh nothing, we're just friends. She received bad news that's all, I was just comforting her."

"WHAT?" Katrina hissed, her voice cracking as she instantly starting crying and ran to her room. She didn't want Chad to see her so emotional. "Wait Katrina! I'll be back in a minute Chad." Janet says, following Katrina, leaving Chad standing confused in the living room.

"Katrina, I only said that cause it was Chad. I didn't know if you wanted to tell him or not... I don't even know what we'd tell him. I mean, what are we?" Janet explains as Katrina nods and wipes away her tears. "Sorry, that makes sense. I'm jus- I don't know." "Emotional?" Janet interrupts, Katrina just nods weakly. "Katrina you're never like this... are you ok?" Janet says sympathetically, she was genuinely concerned about how the Russian had been acting. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be so vulnerable. I'm meant to be strong, fight bears in woods-" Janet interrupts again, "Don't dare be sorry... you have nothing to be sorry about. It's not weak to be sensitive." Janet says softly, "Besides, you're cute when you're vulnerable." Janet smirks, followed by a teasing wink. Katrina starts crying again and throws herself at Janet, tackling her to the ground in a hug. This time... happy tears.

After a few moments, the two let go of each other. "We should probably go talk to Chad, he's probably so confused right now." "Da." Katrina nods. "I don't want him to see me crying though. I don't mind being vulnerable with you but I'm definitely not letting him think I'm weak." Janet just rolls her eyes and laughs gently as Katrina wipes her eyes dry. "Ok." Janet replies as the two leave the room to find Chad again.

"Privyet Chad, sorry about that." Katrina says, forcing her Russian accent to be even stronger, she always thought it made her sound stronger, fiercer... it did. "Awh no worries, you okay though?" Chad asks. "Da, just family issues." Katrina says, glancing knowingly at Janet. "Awh sorry to hear tha-" Chad says, Janet quickly interrupts. "Um Chad. Where is my child?" She questions concerned as she looks around. "The little dude's out in my new whip. Come check it out!" Chad says proudly, excited for Janet and Katrina to see his new ride.

"Check it out." Chad says as the three adults stand as Katrina's doorstep, he points over at a silver van that's fairly dinged up and looks dodgy. Janet looks with a horrified expression, "Chad, where did you find this?" "The police auction were practically giving them away." Janet continued to look mortified, Katrina nodded her head impressed. "I was thinking of putting a candy machine back there for the kids, nice and private you know." Riley stuck her head out of the door of the van, shouting, "We're gonna do ice cream too!" "No! Don't encourage him! Chad n-" Chad continues talking about his new van excitedly, "When I'm babysitting, the kids could sleep back there and I'll call it the kid napping machine." Chad smiles, proud of his idea. Janet pinches her nose in frustration, "Do you hear yourself?" Janet questions, amazed. "Why you always gotta harsh my mellow Janet?" "A kidnapping machine Chad." Janet's face looked so unimpressed. "Yeah." Poor Chad, he always meant well. Katrina interrupted, repeating Janet's words in her Russian accent, "A kidnapping machine, Chad." "Yeah Katrina, a kid napping ma- ohhhh I hear it now yeah... I'll just take it back or burn it..." Chad says, realising.

"Niet, do not waste good van. The aesthetics are pleasing, very edgy. I'll drive-" Katrina says to Chad, Janet quickly interrupt, "Katrina, I love you but you are NOT driving that thing." She says looking sternly, Katrina smirks. Janet didn't even realise what she had said.

"What's that look for?" Janet asks, confused. "That's the first time you said 'I love you'." Katrina says very quietly so Chad and Riley don't hear. They didn't even notice what Janet had said anyway, they were too busy arguing like children, well Riley is a child, over what they were going to do with the van. "Oh- I- is that okay?" Janet stutters, a red blush rising over her face. Katrina lightly brushes her fingers against Janet's.

"I love you too."
