Chapter Eight

Nate's POV

I was talking to Matty when Cody ran over and dragged me to my car. "Hey I just wanna tell you that I love you and I'm sorry for everything and if you wanna break up with me that's fine I understand but I just want you to know I love you and I'm truly truly sorry" he rambled, not even giving himself a break to breathe. I smiled and hugged him. "I love you too and no I do not want to break up with you" I said, he giggled and smiled. "Lemme guess Danny talked you into this?" I asked, he nodded. I chuckled. "Of course"

I looked over and I saw Danny walking away with Jay, seeming as though they were already heading home. I decided to run over to Danny and thank him. I grabbed his arm causing him to whimper. He turned towards me and smiled. "Danny, you okay?" I asked, assuming he was harming himself so I went to check for any cuts or signs of self-harm. Before I could even get a peak at his arms he stopped me. "Nate I'm fine I promise, you just scared me" he said. Hmmm, I don't know if I should believe that. "Oh well, I just wanted to say thanks for talking to Cody for me. I was scared we were actually gonna break up but thanks to you we're not" I said, hugging him tightly. I heard him make a noise as he tensed up. He hugged me back before I pulled away. "Okay Danny seriously what's up? Are you still hurt from the fight or something?" I asked. "Uh, n-no...uhm I gotta go" he said then walked away with Jay right beside him. I sighed and walked back to the group with Cody holding my hand.

I sat down on a bench and pulled out my phone. Before I could actually do anything Cody sat in my lap. I smiled and kissed his nose. He pulled out his phone and took a pic of us. I rolled my eyes and chuckled. "Fucking nerd" I joked, kissing him. He kissed back before pulling away as there were wolf whistles being given by the others. I felt my cheeks heat up but I pushed the feeling aside.

(few weeks later)

I was walking to school with Danny like usual. I mean we don't live far from each other, only a few houses apart. He was skipping a bit, seeming excited about something. Not gonna lie I thought it was kinda cute. We soon made it to the school and Danny instantly ran over to Jay. I smiled at them before I found Cody sitting alone, looking upset. I walked over and hugged him. "Hey baby, everything okay?" I asked, be shook his head. "No, I feel like complete shit right now" "How bad is it?" "I feel like throwing up" "Shit, come on" I grabbed his hand and led him to the boys' bathroom. He rushed into one of the stalls and all I could hear was him, emptying his stomach. I felt bad for him. I pulled my phone out and messaged his dad.

Nate - Hey, Cody needs to go home, he's currently throwing up

Code's Dad - Alright let him know I'm on my way please

Nate - will do sir

I walked over to Cody who had currently stopped throwing up for a moment. "Hey baby, I messaged your dad, he's on his way to get you" I said, kissing his head. He smiled. "Thanks Nate, I owe you" he said, coughing before throwing up some more. I rubbed his back and played with his hair. Doing whatever I can to help him.

A few moments later, I was walking Cody outside and to his dad's car. I hugged him before pulling away so he could get in the car. I smiled and waved as they drove off.

I turned around and saw Danny looking for something. I walked over before he suddenly hugged me tightly. "Oh there you are! I was worried for a moment there" he exclaimed. I chuckled. "Sorry, Cody wasn't feeling well so I wanted to stay with him" I said, he nodded. "Oh well, I hope he gets better" he smiled. "Me too"

I don't know why but I feel like there's something wrong. I looked around and saw Jorel standing near a tree, looking pissed. I assume they got into it but Danny is just trying to stay positive. A few moments passed and we were walking to first. Danny was beside me along with Spencer. I sighed, wishing Cody was still here but I'd rather him be home and rest then be here. I felt an arm snake it's way around me before realizing it was Danny. He smiled at me and poked my nose. I shook my head with a chuckle. He really knows how to brighten anyone's mood. I walked into my first period and sat down beside Danny. Jay and Jordan sitting with us. Jay still seemed really pissed, what the fuck happened? Hell Danny tried to talk to him but he just gave him a death glare. THAT is how you know something is wrong.
