Chapter One

Danny's POV

Hi! I'm Danny! I'm in 11th grade, I don't have many friends. The only friends I have are ones I only talk to at lunch since we don't have classes together this year, sadly. The only good thing is that I have mu crush in all my classes but also his friends who always pick on me for being gay and for the way I dress. I don't dress like a guy because I don't feel comfortable. I feel better dressed more girlish so I dress like a girl.

I was in third and we had to work in groups. I sighed knowing no one would want to work with me. But I was surprised when three people sat down at my table. I was also a little confused since one was Jorel, who happens to be my crush. It was him and one of his friends and a nerdy dude. Jorel smiled at me, so did the nerd who I was actually starting to like cause he's super nice to me. The other just rolled his eyes. "Why can't we work with our actual friends" he asked, Jorel just looked at him with a pissed expression. "Well you can if you don't want to work with the ones I chose. No one said you had to work with me" he said, turning back to me with a small smile. I smiled back as I felt my cheeks heat up. I looked down and played with my fingers. His friend stood and went to another table. As I went to say something, someone else sat where he was. I felt awkward since she had an arm around Jay's. "Hey Jaaay, wanna work with me?" She asked, going to kiss his cheek but he stopped her. "I'm fine where I am" he said, bluntly pushing her away a little. Just enough to get her off of him. She scoffed before going back to her group.

I looked at Jay before speaking. "So why'd you want to work with me?" I asked. "Why not?" Jay said, smirking. "And I actually want to be friends with you" the other guy said, I kinda forgot his name. I mean we never really talk for long so. "Oh okay!" I said, excitedly. Jorel chuckled before we started on our work.

A couple hours pass and now we're at lunch. I was with my group of friends which included Dylan, Matty, Jordan, Cody, Maxx, and Zach. Ronnie, Alex, Jack, Zack, and Rian was skipping lunch. I wish I had joined them to be honest. I was messing with the fork when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned and saw Jorel with a smile. Oh, I forgot to say he's on the basketball team which is another reason I was shocked when he sat with me in third. "Can I sit by you?" He asked, I quickly nodded before moving over slightly bumping into Cody as I did. I instantly apologized and as always he shrugs it off like it was nothing. He's a sweetie. That's why I like him.

Jorel sat down and I felt him put his hand on mine. I looked at him and he had a sly smile on his perfect face. I blushed and looked away: i heard him chuckle before he moved his hand and wrapped an arm around me. I rested my head on his shoulder causing the others to smile and make wolf whistles. I shook my head as I sat up but Jay instantly pulled me close to him. I couldn't help but hug him. He smelled so nice and he felt soft. I heard the cafeteria doors open and someone growl. I pulled away and saw Ronnie glaring at Jorel. He marched over and made Jay leave. Before he did we gave each other our numbers.

I smiled as I thought about him, before I was snapped out of my thoughts by the bell. I sighed, only a couple more hours to go.
