Chapter 60
I can't believe this is happening right now!
"Raiden must be blind to not see that you are pathetic!" Shao Kahn laughed as his grip on my throat tightened. I was about to kick him when he tossed me aside like a rag doll. Shao Kahn summoned his hammer, which I would say was bigger than mine.
I am completely screwed!
In the midst of chaos, the army was chanting Shao Kahn's name as if he is their Great Benefactor of this realm. After what I know and was told by my friends, Shao Kahn's goal was to merge all the realms together and rule with an iron fist.
I wanted to wield both Kotal's weapon and my hammer but both of my arms seemed to be numb. Shao Kahn laughed again.
"Honestly, your sister put up more of a fight than you! It's unfortunate that Osh-Tekk fool had to cut in."
That's where I noticed a gaping wound on his side. Riana did that? So that means she's still alive! I want to confront Shao Kahn but the tyrant himself was about to turn me into fresh ground meat if I don't move out of the way!
The army around us was beginning to close in. I could hear Kristina screaming, the strangled cries from both Reptile and Ermac along with Erron Black's gunfire in the background. Let's not forget the rain of daggers coming down on us as well as the chill in the air.
Shao Kahn, let me tell you, is a hulking giant compared to me! Seeing him this up close made me realised that I might not survive this. If I die, then so will my friends!
"Come at me, boy!" Shao Kahn taunted. "You want to go back home to your realm?"
I didn't say anything but a loud speech almost threw me back. It was Sindel, floating above us. Her hair extended to grab Shao Kahn by the neck dragging him to her level. The emperor only smirked.
"So, my beloved wife decided to betray me," he sneered. "Here you are siding with the rebels. So are my enforcers and my beloved daughter."
"All you have said to me was a lie!" Sindel shrieked, her sound waves creating aftershocks on the ground. It was enough to cause a few people to have bloody ears. I covered mine since I don't want the other one to go completely deaf too!
It was a fight between 'husband' and 'wife', which made me realised that I will have to help the others to lessen the army.
Despite getting double-teamed, Shang Tsung was still summoning undead warriors from the ground. I guessed with Quan Chi dead and Noob Saibot rehabilitating at the Lin Kuei, he will be the one to perform necromancy.
I scrambled to my feet to try and ward off most of the undead army with my hammer. If Reptile and Ermac are going to kill Shang Tsung, then his spell on raising the undead army will diminish.
A cold breeze suddenly froze over the undead army as Sub Zero leaped from his dragon. In fact, there were a few Lin Kuei members and their dragons hovering in the sky resembled dark clouds that covered the sky's natural sunlight.
Amongst them was Frost, who wore a pristine blue and white outfit with a matching mask as she ploughed her way into enemies. She is the most hotheaded Lin Kuei member I know and I don't think I ever want to get along with her. I can say that she's on par with Kristina on having the temper.
Because I value my life, thank you very much!
"So," Shao Kahn huffed as he chopped Sindel by the throat and then tossing her aside like a ragdoll, making me pissed off. "Many of my subjects betrayed me for one of my generals who is the last of his race. How pathetic!"
