As Blake was faced with the choice of exacting her revenge on Darth Vader or challenging the Emperor to save Cal Kestis. In that moment, Blake resisted the urge to kill Vader. Blake lunged at the Emperor, but the Emperor managed to pull out his other Lightsaber and blocked Blake's attacks. He follows through with a deadly torrent of Force Lightning on Blake. Blake was able to block the Lightning with her Lightsaber.
The Emperor: The Dark Side has abandoned you!
Blake: No. I turned my back on it!
As Blake engaged the Emperor in a fierce Lightsaber duel, Blake quickly realized just how powerful the Emperor was. Despite his frail appearance, the Emperor moved at such speed and aggression that Blake was barely able to keep up. Blake then unleashes a torrent of Force Lightning on the Emperor, but the Emperor was able to absorb the Lightning with his hand. As the fight dragged on, the Emperor began to taunt Blake.
The Emperor: Your friends will die slowly and painfully, girl. Especially the pilot.
Blake: NO! I WILL stop you!
Blake then lunged at the Emperor and attacked him with increased ferocity. The Emperor cackled as he evaded Blake's attacks. As Blake continued to attack the Emperor, the Dark Lord continued to taunt Blake.
The Emperor: You will never escape from the Dark Side! Did you really think your existence was a secret? Ha! Everything has happened ever since Vader found you has happened exactly as I have planned! Vader only ever served as a proxy for my will!
Blake was overcome with rage as she continued to attack the Emperor. Soon enough, the Emperor unleashed another torrent of Force Lightning on Blake, but Blake rolled out of the way and follows through with a telekinetic blast which knocks the Emperor off his feet. The Emperor fires back with another blast of Force Lightning on Blake. Blake absorbs the Lightning with her Lightsaber and deflects it onto the Emperor. She then begins to use the Force to pummel the Emperor around the throne room before apparently subduing him. As Blake approached the seemingly defeated Emperor, the Emperor began to cackle.
The Emperor: Yes. Yes! You were destined to destroy me. Do it! Give in to your hatred!
As Blake looked down on the Emperor, she gripped her Lightsaber and prepared to strike down the Emperor. Before she strike down the Emperor, Cal stepped in.
Cal: Don't, Blake. He's beaten. Let it go.
Blake: It's a trick! He's stronger than you know! And...and he deserves to die for everything he's done!
Cal: Maybe so, but if you strike him down, you'll be right back where you began.
As Cal said this, Blake restrained herself from striking the Emperor down in anger. As she deactivated her Lightsaber, Blake turned to Cal.
Blake: Get Senator Chuchi and the others out of here. I'll be right behind you.
Blake looked up to see the Stinger Mantis appearing. As it prepared to land, the Emperor lashed out by unleashing a powerful torrent of Force Lightning on Cal. Before the Emperor could kill Cal, Blake moved in front of the Lightning to protect her Jedi mentor, causing her to absorb the energy and redirect it back to its source. The pain she felt was unlike anything she's ever experience.
Blake: Go! Get the Senators out of here!
Overcoming the pain just enough to absorb and gather the energy, Blake advanced on the Emperor as the two remained locked in the chain of Lightning. At the same time, she noticed that a squadron of stormtroopers had entered the chamber, with Darth Vader limping behind them, in pursuit of the fleeing Rebel leaders.
Blake: NO!
With no other option left, Blake grabbed the Emperor's shoulders and redirected the Lightning into the Dark Lord, causing the Emperor to share in the agonizing pain of his own power. Driven by concern for her friends, Blake embraced the Force completely and released all of the pent up energy, resulting in a massive shock wave that killed the stormtroopers and destroyed much of the dome, sacrificing herself in the process. As the Stinger Mantis made it's escape, Blake's final thoughts were of Yang. The only survivors of the explosion were Vader and the Emperor. When they came across Blake's lifeless body, neither Sith were pleased by the death of Blake.
Darth Vader: She is dead.
The Emperor: Then she is now more powerful than ever. She was meant to root out the Rebels. Her sacrifice will only inspire them.
Darth Vader: But now we know who they are. I will hunt them down and destroy them, as you always intended, my master.
The Emperor: You must be relentless, Lord Vader. If even a single Rebel survives, this Alliance that we have unwittingly created will be our undoing. Like the Jedi, the Alliance of rebels, traitors and dissidents must be purged or else everything we have built will fall.
Darth Vader: Yes, my Master.
As the Emperor walks away, Darth Vader looks upon the lifeless body of his former apprentice. In Blake's actions, he saw something familiar. Something from Anakin Skywalker's past. Out of the corner of Vader's eye, she spots Blake's Jedi Lightsaber which once belonged to Kali Belladonna, the Jedi he killed on Tython. Saying nothing, Darth Vader crushed Blake's Lightsaber beneath his heel. As the Lightsaber was crushed to dust, Darth Vader vowed to exterminate the Emperor's enemies the same way he helped exterminate the Jedi.
