Chapter X

After Adam left the laboratory, Blake activated her crimson Lightsaber and cuts through the door. It didn't take long for the alarms to be activated.

Imperial Intercom: Alert! Specimen containment field in Sector 10 has been breached! Nearby squads are ordered to investigated.

Blake began running out of the room and began making her way to where Yang was being held. It didn't take long for a group of Stormtroopers to move on her position. 

Stormtrooper: Open fire! 

As the Stormtroopers fired on Blake, she deflected the blaster shots with her Lightsaber and proceeds to cut them down with her Lightsaber. Meanwhile, Adam made his way to the Empirical's navigation room. 

Imperial Navigation Officer: Agent? What's going on?

Without saying a word, Adam pulls out his blaster pistol and kills all the Imperials in the room. After doing so, he gains access into the main computer and sets the coordinates to a nearby star. He then shoots the computer to keep the others from reversing the coordinates. Meanwhile, Blake continued to cut through the Stormtroopers. As she neared the holding cells, the Intercom began speaking. 

Imperial Intercom: Alert! Ship navigation systems have malfunctioned! I repeat, ship navigation systems have malfunctioned!

Upon hearing this,  Blake quickly realized that Adam was responsible for this. Knowing that she had little time, she continued to make her way to the holding cells. Suddenly, she is contacted by Adam. 

Adam(Comlink): My lord. I've just received word that Captain Xiao Long has been moved to the bridge. If you intend to save her, I suggest you move quickly. The Empirical is on a trajectory to the nearby star. All the escape pads have been jettisoned. 

Blake: Copy. 

Blake continued to cut her way through the Stormtroopers that crossed her path. They stood no chance against her. Soon, she reached the ridge where Stormtroopers were guarding Yang who was restrained by a force field. 

Stormtrooper: Don't let her reach the traitor! Open fire! 

The Stormtroopers fired on Blake, but she cuts them down with ease. After that, she used the Force to crush the generator powering Yang's restraints. As she fell to the ground, Blake ran up to her. As Yang opened her eyes, she was in shock, but smiled. 

Yang: Vader said you were dead....but you came back. 

Blake then picked her up and began carrying her out of the bridge. 

Yang: I've been branded a traitor to the Empire. 

Blake: It doesn't matter. I don't care about any of that. I'm leaving the Empire behind. 

Blake then carried Yang to the White Fang. Yang then took control of the White Fang and piloted the White Fang away from the Empirical as it plummeted to the sun. After escaping, Yang checked the scanners for any signs of pursuit. 

Yang: No sign of any pursuit. We're already light years away from any Imperial forces. 

As Yang said that, she looked into the stars that was seemingly endless. Blake could sense that something was wrong.

Blake: What's wrong?

Yang: We have the entire Galaxy in front of us. And yet, for the first time in my life, I don't know where to go. I hope you have a plan. 

Blake: We need to rally the Emperor's enemies. And I need to find someone who could teach me things that Vader couldn't.

Yang: Heh. Sounds like we're still hunting Jedi. 

Blake cracks a smile in response to Yang's words. Her cat ears turned sideways as she turned to Adam. 

Blake: Adam. Have you found any Jedi sightings?

Adam: I've looked into Imperial records and I've found only one case we could use. A Jedi by the name of Cal Kestis was sighted on Christophsis. 

As Adam said this, he pulled up a holographic image of Cal Kestis. 

Adam: According to Imperial records, Cal Kestis was first spotted on the junkyard world on Bracca where he worked in the Scrapper Guild until he was discovered by the Imperial Inquisitors. After skirmishes on various Imperial controlled worlds, Kestis and a group of accomplices infiltrated Fortress Inquisitorious in which he encountered Darth Vader himself. 

Upon hearing this, both Blake and Yang were surprised that this Cal Kestis had survived an encounter with Darth Vader, given his reputation. 

Yang: Wow. Anybody who can survive an encounter with Darth Vader must be pretty powerful. 

Blake: What about the accomplices? 

Adam: There's little information on the accomplices Kestis traveled with, but it is clear that he traveled with a group numbering between 3 to four individuals including a droid and the pilot. The ship appears to be a modified S-161 "Stinger" XL luxury yacht. 

Yang: I've piloted a ship like that before I joined the Imperial Navy. They're very fast. 

Blake: What else can you tell me about Kestis? 

Adam took a moment to sift through the files that could be useful information for Blake. 

Adam: Kestis has been noted to have bested the Inquisitors sent to apprehend him. Though there were rumors that Kestis was hunting for a Jedi Holocron that was rumored to contain a list of Force Sensitive children, but that has yet to be confirmed. 

Blake: Yang. Set a course for Christophsis. 

Yang: Got it. 

Yang then sets the coordinates for Christophsis to meet with Cal Kestis and his crew. With luck, Blake would be able to recruit Blake for her army to help in her mission to overthrow the Emperor alongside her master. Though for Blake, she had questions about her own loyalties. For now, Blake would continue with her mission.
