Chapter XIII

After convincing Cal Kestis and his allies to join her, Blake made her way to the ancient Jedi homeworld of Tython. As the White Fang reached Tython, Yang ran some scans. 

Yang: We've reached Tython. I still think this is a bad idea. The Empire has a firm control of this planet. 

Adam: Captain Sturn will no doubt have extra security for Senator Chuchi. But I doubt they'll cause you trouble, my lord.

Blake then contacts Cal Kestis via intercom. As she contacts him, the holoprojection of Cal appeared before her. 

Blake: You got a plan, Kestis?

Cal(Holoprojection): You and I will infiltrate the outpost and rescue Senator Chuchi. BD-1 should be able to get through some of the secuirty mainframes. 

Blake: And if we get discovered?

Cal(Holoprojection): Then we'll just have to resort to our Lightsabers. It's best if we split up as to not drawn too much attention. I'll see you on the ground. 

As Cal said this, the holoprojection of Cal dissipated. Blake then turned to Adam and Yang. 

Blake: Have we been spotted?

Yang: No. The clocking device is fully functional. 

Blake: Then take us down. 

The White Fang then lands on Tython. Blake then exits the White Fang and begins making her way to the compound. On the way there, she reaches an ancient Jedi enclave. As she sets foot into the enclave, Blake feels something call out to her. Blake then contacts Adam via comlink. 

Blake: Adam...I....I think I found something.

Adam(Comlink): What is it?

Blake: Some kind of Jedi enclave but it....feels familiar. I feel....I feel a great darkness here. And sadness. 

Adam(Comlink): Captain Xiao Long and I are not picking up and lifeforms in your position. We need to focus on the mission, my lord. 

With that, Blake ended the call and entered the Jedi enclave. As she explored the enclave, she could feel something familiar within the enclave. Everything she saw in the enclave seemed familiar to her. 

Blake: What...is this place?

Blake soon saw a discarded Lightsaber lying on the ground. As she picked it up, Blake heard whispers in the background. Sensing danger, Blake ignited her red Lightsaber but found nothing. Blake then looked upon the discarded Lightsaber. Something seemed familiar about the Lightsaber. As she ignites it, a purple blade emerges from the hilt. As soon as she did, a woman bearing a resemblance to her approached her. The woman looked upon Blake with sorrow in her eyes. The vision of the fallen Kali Belladonna approached Blake and placed a hand on her shoulders. 

Kali: I never wanted this for you. I never wanted any of this for you. I'm....I'm sorry, daughter. 

Upon hearing that, Blake's heart stopped as she quickly pieced together that the vision before her was indeed her mother. Despite only remembering glimpses of her childhood, Blake clearly remembered Kali's face. 

Blake: M...mother?

Kali: The Dark Side has not fully corrupted you yet. It's not too late, my daughter. You can still turn away from the Dark Side.

Blake: The Dark Side is all I have.

Kali: My daughter, Vader was right about one thing. You now control your own destiny. Your destiny is yours and yours alone. No one can tell you otherwise, not even Vader. There will come a time where you must make a choice. Know this, no matter what you do from here on out, know this...I will love you always.

As Kali imparted these words to her daughter, Blake called out to her, but the vision of Kali was gone. Blake then looked upon Kali's Lightsaber and her own. Without hesitation, she discards her Lightsaber and tosses it to the ground. She then hooks her mother's Lightsaber onto her belt. As she exits the Jedi enclave, Yang finally reaches her. 

Yang(Comlink): Captain Xiao Long to Gambol Shroud. Are you all right? We lost contact with you for a moment...

Blake: I'm...I'm fine, Yang. Just a little bit turned around. 

Yang(Comlink): Cal's been trying to contact you. 

Blake: Patch him through. 

With that, Yang patches Blake over to Cal.

Blake: You wanted to speak with me?

Cal(Comlink): I've been trying to contact you for some time. What happened?

Blake: Just ran into a few problems. Have you reached the compound? 

Cal(Comlink): Yeah. Adam wasn't wrong about the security in this place. This place is crawling with Stormtroopers. 

Blake: Is that going to be a problem for you?

Upon hearing that question, Cal simply chuckled. 

Cal(Comlink): You're talking to the guy who infiltrated the stronghold of the Inquisitors and managed to escape. 

Blake: In that case, hold your position. I'm on my way. 

With that, Blake continued to make her way to the Imperial compound. After doing so, both Blake and Cal managed to sneak into the compound and make their way to where Senator Chuchi was being held. 

Chuchi: I should've known the Emperor would send assassins. It's a coward's tactic. 

Blake: We don't serve the Emperor. Cere Junda sent us....

Chuchi: Cere Junda? She's alive. 

Cal: Alive and well. She sent us here to rescue you. 

Chuchi: I can't leave while this planet is enslaved. Captain Sturn is using the Flesh Raider population to work on that Skyhook. Once the Skyhook is complete, the Empire will start shuttling Flesh Raider slaves into space. Entire villages will be taken off world in a matter of days. 

Blake: The Empire will just rebuild it.

Chuchi: Eventually, maybe. But you will give the Flesh Raiders a chance to disappear. 

Cal: Say no more. Here's the coordinates to the Mantis. We'll escort you....

Chuchi: That won't be necessary. This isn't the first time I've been held hostage. I'll find a way out. 

Cal: Then I guess there's no point in us sticking around here. Come on, Blake. We got a Skyhook to destroy. 

With that, Blake and Cal left the outpost while Senator Chuchi sneaked out of the base. While Senator Chuchi made her way to the Mantis, Blake and Cal made their way to the Skyhook to destroy it.
