Author's POV

Naina was standing near the gate of her college with a frown on her face. She was pissed that Rey asked Ashish to pick her up, yes she got to know when Ashish texted her that he is coming to pick her, she wondered why her brother didn't find anyone else. Being alone with Ashish won't be good for her innocent and loving heart, she barely is able to reign her feelings whenever he is there at her house, and that is almost everytime, now what will happen when they will be all alone.

On one hand she was tired of standing at the gate and waiting for him for so long (literally too) and on the other, she didn't want him to come soon knowing that she would have to be alone with him then. She won't be able to keep her feelings in check around him for sure. Her gaze always moved towards him, her hands itching to touch him and her eyes drinking his whole self. Initially she thought it was just a teenage crush when she first met him but when it turned to a deep true love, she had no idea.

But she knew these were forbidden plains, he was her brother's best friend, 10 years elder to her. But does it really matter? Specially to her? No it doesn't, coz she knew she is just trying to pacify her heart that why can't she have him knowing full well she doesn't care about all these and would eb a rebel in love if that is necessary. She was thinking when a hand tapped on her shoulder, thinking it is Ashish she turned around taking a deep breath but found Sameer, her college mate whom she knew had a big crush on her and even proposed her once, but she denied him. He was a nice guy, she smiled at him when he started flirting with her and asked,

"So beautiful, mind if I drop you to your house?"

She giggled shaking her ehad and said someone is coming to pick her up. They were talking, laughin and giggling completely unaware when Ashish reached there and was now sitting in his car looking at the duo. His heart clenched painfully seeing her laughing with someone else, he so wanted to walk up to that boy and beat the shit out of him. His heart was burning at the sight when he saw that boy keeping a hand on her arm, then she laughed slapping his bicep.

He could feel himself burning in anger and rage, she didn't even notice he was there while talking to him. Angrily he pressed the car's horn 2-3 times catching the duo off guard. Naina looked at the car and him with a blank face before turning to the boy with a smile, he frowned at that. She told something to that boy before leaning forward and hugging him lightly and then kissing his cheek, breaking his composure.

Ashish felt his anger surpassing boundaries seeing the sight in front of him. If she was trying to make him jealous then hell she was doing a good job, he was par enraged at the moment. He saw Naina walking towards him, and then coming to the passenger side sat inside without a word. Even he was miffed so keeping quite he started the car and was driving towards her house.

He waited for her to say something, but she sat there like her lips were glued. His anger increased thinking a moment back how she was laughing with that boy but now she doesn't even want to say anything. This wasn't how he hoped they would spend time together, not beating around the bush he asked her holding the steering in a hard grip and clenching his jaw,

"Who was that guy?"

A frown marred her face at the disturbed silence suddenly, she was hoping they would silently reach home. She answered him in a single word,

"Friend!"

A smug fake smile came on his lips and he asked her scoffing,

"Bahot hi achha friend lag raha tha."
