Reporters swarmed around as a golden Bentley Continental car came to a halt, in front of a 15 storeyed glass building. A lady, in black, sparkling, off shoulder blouse and a plain peach saree with a frilled pallu, got out of the car and made her way straight to the building, ignoring the reporters. A hand bag, exactly the same colour as her blouse, was held in her hand. She took the lift and went straight to the top floor where her office was. The office staff got up hurriedly and fumbled for greetings, as soon as she got out and made her way to her cabin. She gave a curt nod to all while moving. Briskly entering her cabin, she kept her bag on her desk and went on to stand at the transparent glass wall, that gave a magnificent view of the city.
Diti Prajapati, the owner of the Prajapati Group of Industries, was a rising name in the business world. The lady, herself, was an enigma for her competitors as well as the general public. She had a strong, intimidating aura; one that commanded respect just by mere presence.
Just as Diti was musing over, her PA Tarika Yaksh walked in the cabin.
"This would better be urgent, Tarika," Diti said, without even turning around. She knew that only Tarika had the guts and audacity to enter her cabin, without knocking. That's the reason she had chosen her as her PA.
"I don't have time for petty issues of those fools. As it is, we are losing valuable time and it is getting on my nerves, now," Diti added, with a huff.
"I very well know that, ma'am," Tarika replied, with a sly smile and twinkling eyes. "Mr. Tarakh, along with Mr. Megh and Mr. Shivansh are here to meet you."
Diti sighed and beckoned her to bring them in. By the time Tarika re-entered with them, Diti was seated behind her desk. She looked at them with a calculative and shrewd gaze, as they made themselves comfortable in front of her. Tarika took a seat, at the side of the desk.
"I hope to hear some good news from you all," said Diti, leaning back in the chair with her elbows resting on the armrest. "Because now I am starting to feel, that bringing you'll back in time was the biggest foolishness of mine."
Tarakh and Shivansh looked vindictive at that taunt, while Megh squirmed under the gaze of the businesswoman.
"We still haven't found it, ma'am," Shivansh said, keeping his irritation at bay. Diti's face hardened at the statement, as well as the tone.
"But... but we have found something else," Megh replied, hurriedly, seeing that. However his voice got choked, as soon as Diti trained her eyes on him, giving him her full and undivided attention.
"I don't have all day, Megh," she said, her voice as cold as ice.
"They have deployed some people against us," said Tarakh, who had been silent the entire time.
"We have been knowing that for quite a while, Mr. Tarakh," Tarika replied. "Do you have any information on who those people might be?"
"I guess, we shouldn't have killed that man. He definitely knew something or the other about them," Tarakh replied, grimly. Diti just turned her face to the glass wall, thinking about the present as well as the future.
"Whosoever it is, we have to find them. I won't let anyone mess with my carefully crafted plan, this time," said Diti in a malevolent tone, finally looking at them. "I have waited for long enough, now. I want them in front of me as soon as possible. Do you get that?"
The three males nodded and left the office. Shivansh was still seething at the taunt.
"Calm down, Shivansh. I know she is a malicious woman. But we have to remember, that it is because of her, that we have this opportunity today," Tarakh said, placing his hand on Shivansh's shoulder.
