Y/n pov

You followed Wilbur down into the cavern hollowed out below, a permanent grimace fixed on your face.

"This seems like a situation straight out of a stupid horror film" you heard tommy grumble from upstairs only to get a grunt of agreement from Techno.

"Hurry up! Wait, no don't do that. The ladder isn't very stable, if you go too fast, you'll probably. . .fall" Wilbur trailed off, sighing as Tommy slipped on one of the last rungs, falling onto the floor.

"Your instructions were unclear" he gets up, scowling.

As soon as Techno and Eret had reached the rest of you, Wilbur produced a torch.

He shone it around the dank cave, the light glistening on the slippery rocks as the group trudged along the only available route.

"This place smells horrible" Tubbo whined, walking quickly to keep up with you.

"You can say that again" you replied, wrinkling up your nose in disgust.

Suddenly, you saw the silhouette of Techno raise a hand up, signalling you be quiet.

Everyone stopped behind Techno who peeked around the edge.

"Anything there?" Eret whispered

Silence rung out around your empty surroundings.

"We need to leave" Techno moves away from the wall, about to turn back before Wilbur caught him by the arm.

"We aren't leaving until we get answers. Understand?"

Techno didn't look at him.

"What did you see?" You asked, trying to keep your voice firm although, if Techno saw something that he didn't like, you weren't sure you'd like to know it.

"Dream"

The dread that settled was unbearable.

"Dream indeed" came another voice.

"Wonderful to see you again" he continues, leaning on the rock wall.

Wilbur and Techno stood their ground, Eret standing a little further back beside Tommy and Tubbo.

You stood alone.

Right infront of Dream.

"Why are you here?" Wilbur rasped, his voice sounding hollow as if his worse nightmare had just been confirmed.

"Waiting for you and your merry band of friends, of course" he answered, tilting his head in a creepy fashion so that his childlike mask seemed to be boring through your head.

"You did this"

"Don't play dumb"

"You've always wanted to hit us where it hurt the most"

"And so it seems, I succeeded. Wouldn't you agree, Wilbur Soot?"

Author notes

I am so, so sorry for not updating this as frequently as I said I would and I know this chapter isn't really sufficient I'm just brainstorming how to lay out the next few chapters.

This probably will go on for another three chapters or so, to get it to 30 parts.

I'm going to go on hiatus for a little longer but I'm announcing it this time and I'll put it in my bio.

Until further notice, I won't be undergoing the final chapters but I swear they will happen.

I hope you all are doing well!
