She sees Rosalie at the store before heading to work and she smiles.
"I see you are so happy. Mind telling me all the details of your date?"
"We danced and we have started to date. He likes me." She tells Rosalie.
"That is exciting! You know the doctor is pretty cute and you could afford more if you married him."
She spits her water.
"Woah Rosalie. We can't get married so quickly. Besides I don't know if I am ready for that after everything that happened with Thomas and being pregnant with Thomas's son. I can't."
Emery then went to work and saw Alex and she went straight to the physical therapy office and helped her patients and helped Thomas.
"So I was wondering if we could go on a double date. I take you and my brother and-"
"No Thomas! I am with Alex and I will not cheat on him with my ex-husband. I doubt any girl wants to be with a cheater like you." She says and helps him and he heads off.
She continues to work in the physical therapist's office and Alex brings her lunch and winks at her then leaves.
"Seems like the doctor is really in love with you. You know it takes a lot for someone to win his heart and seems like you did it quickly." Harley said.
She blushes.
"You know I see you two being the best married couple one day."
"I don't know. We will see. My chances of this job drop more if we don't work out."
"Well, I am here for sad terms. We will give you your last check next week. You are fired because we don't allow any PDA and as well as you aren't the best fit for this hospital for the physical therapy office. Besides, we don't allow families of future families to work with each other."
"Wait what?! If it is how I treated my Ex-husband then I am sorry it came to that."
"You are fired. You have 1 hour to pack your stuff before I have security come and escort you out."
"Alright, I will go get my things."
She packs her stuff and Alex storms in.
"What is going on here?!"
"I fired her for the physical therapy office because she is not the beta candidate in this department and if you remember we can't have so much PDA here in the hospital so I fired her," Harley said.
"What?! You can't do that! The department has to agree."
"Well, they agreed that this is best for all of us."
Emery grabs her stuff.
*First my dad and my ex and now this. What now?*
"Well we are a package deal so if we want all these patients to live then I quit if she is fired."
"What? Now?! When we have so many people to consider saving?"
"Yeah well I am sure you can find someone to replace me and I can find a better hospital around here in LA."
He gives his stuff and walks with Emery.
"Why did you do that?"
"Well, I seemed if they don't accept you then I won't have it. Besides all that is a bunch of lies. They have left married couples to work here so there is a lot of false rules and this can give them a lawsuit. Besides I need to help you if you have your baby."
"I should be fine. I can manage. I did with my first before he died." She said sadly.
"I'm sorry Emery I didn't know."
"It's okay. There is one thing. Can you help me keep Thomas out of my life?"
"Of course I can! That guy is a maniac anyways that is my pleasure." He says with a grin and takes her home.
"Look Alex, I am so sorry about everything that happened at the hospital and with my dad gone and everything it's just hard to keep up." She says and cries on his shoulder.
He wipes her tears and then she heads into the house and kisses him goodbye.
She works on trying to find a new hospital to work for.
She prepares the house and the bank calls her.
"Miss Warner, I am sorry to say this but we need that bank payment or we will be getting your house next week and you will have to move out for not making payments and the house will become owned by us and mortgaged." Miss Evans says to her on the phone.
"Yes, I will get that right away thank you." She tells them and they hang up.
She cries in tears and is overwhelmed.
She calls Rosalie.
"Rosalie, I am struggling so much and I can't afford everything. I may have to find a hospital to work for in a different town and I have to move if I don't pay up so I might have to be evicted from my home." She says in tears.
"I won't afford a child either. I might have to send them for adoption."
"Then I propose an idea, Emery. I'll adopt the child. I would love to take care of him for you." She says.
Emery then calls Alex and he is sad about it too.
"You know why don't you sell the house and move in with me Emery and I'll work at a hospital so I can provide for the bills?"
"I don't know Alex. I might intrude and I don't want to."
"You aren't intruding at all and I have a guest room. Please stay Em."
"Alright. I'll get the house sold then. Thanks, Alex!"
"Yeah, no problem!" He says and he applies to some hospitals.
He later gets the guests' rooms looking nice and makes one baby proof for Emery's son.
He gets ready for her and prepares the table for dinner while she works on selling the house.
*I love her and feel she is my world. I just am not sure if she would say yes or not. I mean we haven't talked about it. I am ready for Emery to stay in my life.* Alex thought.
