I used to have this same dream every night since it happened. But I hadn't thought of it in awhile. A lot has happened since then.
We had to leave the farm because it was overrun by walkers. We were on the road for a little while. Then we made it to a prison which was eventually destroyed by a man who called himself the governor. We were all split up but we eventually found our way to terminus where we were reunited. Terminus was supposed to be a sanctuary but it wasn't... the people at terminus turned out to be cannibals. So we had to flee from there as quick as possible. We lost many people since that day at the farm. Including Beth (my best friend)and Hershel (the closest thing I had to a father). Many more important people who were like family to me either died or were killed. And now we were on the road... again.
This time we are on the road for way longer than we had ever been before. We have no food, almost no water, and no where to stay. We are all so hungry and tired. We probably blend in well with the walkers now.
I had lost count of how many days we had been walking. I dragged my feet in the dirt not wanting to waste energy by picking up my feet. Daryl had been off looking for some water. We only had a little bit left. That's when I saw something on the road ahead.
"Hey guys look." I said pointing ahead. We all ran up to it. It was a couple jugs of water and some water bottles along with a sign that read..."from a friend."
"I wonder who it is from" Carl said. "It might be a trap" Rick said staring at the water bottles. "If it is a trap we have already happen to be in it" Eugene said staring at the water with a thirsty look.
" Otherwise it might indeed be from a friend." He said looking around. "If it isn't that means they put something in it." Carol said eyeing Eugene.
Eugene quickly picked up one of the water bottles, opened it, and pressed it against his lips. He was about to take a sip when Abraham knocked it out of his hands.
"We can't." Rick said to Eugene with a stern voice. I felt a drop of water on my arm. I watched it quickly slide down and onto the ground. I looked up and that's when a clap of thunder loudly struck.
It started raining. It was the best feeling in the world. I could feel the cool water on my face. I looked around to see everyone laughing and smiling.
I looked over at Carl to see him opening his mouth as wide as possible trying to get the water in his mouth. I giggled and laid on the ground next to Rosita.
"We need to keep moving." Rick yelled to us. "There's a barn nearby." Daryl yelled back. "Let's go." Rick yelled to everyone holding a hand out to me. I grabbed it and nodded at him in thanks.
We made it to the old barn. It was warm and cozy. I could hear the rain clinking on the roof. I took a deep breath. I was laying on the ground next to Maggie. I knew she wasn't asleep. How could she be. He sister and father had just died in the last couple weeks.
I could hear her crying softly. I knew how she felt. "Maggie?" I whispered. She was quiet for a moment and then she finally responded. "Yeah?" "There's still hope." I said looking at her.
She turned and looked at me with tears in her eyes. "You are such a strong girl. I know you have been through a lot." She said going in for a hug. I never thought of how sad you must have been all alone back at the farm, but now I get it. She said.
I hugged her back. "You know what?" She said as she pulled away. "What?" I said as I closed my eyes. "You're right. There is still hope."
I hope you all enjoyed! Thank you!
