----------Jade's POV--------

I saw Freddy with a brown hair girl at lunch. So, I went to sit with Emily.

"Hey, Em." I sat next to her.

"Oh, hey." She sat aside to allow me a sit. "So, why aren't you with Freddy?"

"I saw him with a girl." I pointed to her. "There."

"Oh, I heard she's the new girl." 

"I'm gonna ask him later after school."

"You still having those dreams about Jayla?"

"Ya, but getting more....peaceful everyday."

"What'd you remember about her?"

"She's 18, likes purple and hates to eat smoke duck."

"WHAT?! Everyone likes smoke duck."

"Not her apparently."

"Jaden doesn't like it either, does he?"

"Nope."

         RIIIINNNNGGG!! After lunch, Mrs. Patterson kept on talking and talking about facts of history and finally, it was home time! WOOOHHOO! After I got out of school property and went over to the bus stop to wait for Freddy. He came after 13 minutes of me scrolling through tiktok, he was smiling.

"What'cha smiling about, huh?" I asked him.

He continued to smile. 

"Hey, come on." I nudged him. "Tell me."

"There's a new girl in my class named Kaisey." He said. "She's so pretty."

"Oh trust me, having a crush is not the best thing for your age."

"Why?"

"I've had a bad experience last year."

I told him the story about my first crush, Timmy, all the way home. Then after lunch, I went to take a nap because of the history, and forcing myself to stay awake. 

"Hey, Jade!" It turned around, it was Jayla.

"HI! So, you like purple and hate smoke duck." 

"You're finally remembering some stuff about me. So proud of my little sis." 

Then a gun shot and she was shot! 

I woke up and gasped. The dream was short but it really scared me. Dixie and Freddy came into my room.

"Did you see anything?" Freddy asks.

"No, not before she was shot."

"Shot?"

"MMMMOOOOMMMM! JADE DIDN'T FIND OUT ANYTHING!" Dixie yelled to Sue.

"Do you have to tell mom?" I asked her.

"Yup."

"GUYS, I HAVE SOME VERY IMPORTANT NEWS TO TELL YOU." Sue called from downstairs. 

We dashed downstairs, well except for me anyway. We sat down in the living room and waited for Sue to say something. She walked here and there, mumbling something.

"Mom, are you going to say something? It's been 15 minutes." Freddy asks.

"Okay, so um...." Sue says. "Ihaveajobandweneedtomovetoaustraliabutonlyfamilyisallowed."

"HUH?" I said confusedly.

"I have a job and we need to move to Australia but only REAL family is allowed." Sue says slowly.

"You mean, I can't come?" I asked.

"Yes, unfortunately."

"WHAT?! MOM, YOU CAN'T LEAVE JADE BEHIND, SHE'S OUR FAMILY!" Freddy exclaims. 

"Honey, I understand, but it's really important and..."

      I don't wanna tell you the rest, it's kinda bad. So, Sue says she has to disown me to get her job, so I'm going back to the orphanage. But Freddy and Dixie disagrees, but they couldn't do anything. 

       I'm leaving this Thursday, I texted Emily and told her everything. She says the same thing Freddy did, but she couldn't do anything either. She just said she'll miss seeing me. But I know she felt sad, because I was her only friend at school. 

       Andrew had moved to a new city and was transferred to another school. So when it was Thursday, I said goodbye to Freddy and Dixie, but I didn't say anything to Sue. After they left, I was all alone in the orphanage again.

      Jocelyn took me to my old room, since no one had used it yet. I sat outside by the doorstep and took out my notebook and started to draw Freddy and Dixie. I had finished drawing Dixie, because I saw her first.
