Everything comes crashing down

* 2 months ago * Lucious and bunkie are by the canal " your my brother bunkie and I love you but don't ever threaten my Empire or my boys you want money you gotta earn it" what do you mean I helped you raised the boys it wasn't easy especially with  Zain but I did it out of loyalty for you" you did it out of loyalty they your family man that's what you do you look out for em. What I didn't expect is you to steal from me Bunkie you might not believe me but I don't wanna do this" Lucious shot Bunkie and he fell into the water

*Present day*
As cookie and Lucious pulled away from the kiss . " We can't do this Lucious" yes we can were a team ride or die remember" you mean that right? Of course baby" they both sat down next to each other " what's that cookie asked" oh it's a photo album I often look through them I dunno why but it's comforting to me " can I look through em " sure " cookie flipped through pages smiling at each one of them " that was our first American music awards carol was visiting Candace so I had to take the kids" yeah I remember watching it on TV in my cell you dedicated the award to me" cookie said looking over at Lucious

* Flashback Lucious's POV*
Lucious was walking down the red carpet the 3 older boys were behind him and Zain was by his father's side. A camera light flashed as the paparazzi began to take photos . Zain let go of his father's hand and sat down on the floor and began to whimper slightly. Lucious crouched down and picked Zain up and held the back of his head " it's ok daddy's got you " he whispered soothingly into 6 year old Zain's ear Hakeem Jamal and Andre walk by their fathers side as they posed for pictures on the way into the venue
"this is so cool" Hakeem says smiling up at his dad " this is the future son embrace it"

* Once in the venue the nominations for breakthrough artist of the year is announced*

and the winner of breakthrough artist of the year is.... Lucious Lyon everyone cheers and hugs Lucious everyone as he invites his 3 older sons on stage with him.

Vernon is sitting backstage with Zain " look Z there's daddy" he points to the TV screen and  Zain made the noise he makes when he's happy

* Lucious POV*
W..wow this is amazing I never in a million years thought that my musical journey would get me here but I didn't do it on my own I did it with the help of family and friends and we worked hard and we did that for our children's future and by we I mean my muse my love my cookie Lyon I got you man always . He then hugs Andre Jamal and Hakeem before walking off stage

*Cookies POV she is watching the American music awards from her cell*

" I got you too baby .. forever" cmon Cook let the man go" I can't Chyna I love him I always will"

* End of flashback*

" Lucious can I ask you something "sure " why didn't you bring the boys to see me in jail ?" I didn't think it was right at the time especially for Zain he wouldn't of undersood why we couldn't stay with you believe it or not  I was trying to do the right thing"the right thing the right thing!" You kept me from my babies for 12 years " yeah well be grateful it wasn't for 17 years like your original sentence!

" Fuck you Lucious fuck you and your damn Empire!" Becky walks in after knocking on the door " um excuse me" not now Becky! The pair say together  in unison" it's the FBI Lucious. "The FBI?" suddenly agent Sanchez walked in" Lucious Lyon you are under arrest for the murder of Marcus " Bunkie" Williams

" What's going on pop" don't worry Dre alright just look after Zain for me please" he killed your uncle Bunkie Dre he's a murderer! "Cookie". Lucious said looking down . cmon Mr Lyon " as one of the agents cuff Lucious, Zain Hakeem and Jamal  walk into the reception of the building " where's dad going " Andre walks over and puts arm round  his little brother" dad's just going on a vacation okay he'll be back soon"

"Dad! " Zain shouted loudly  desperate to get his father's attention " it's ok baby " cookie says comfortingly " let go of me man I wanna say bye to my sons" . Lucious pulls out of the officers grip and walks over to the boys " look after yourselves boys watch over your brother for me I'll be back soon" like hell you will " Lucious gave Cookie a look and crouched down slightly to kiss the top of Zain's head " be good Z daddy will  see you soon ok"

Zain watches as his dad leaves with the officers and sits down on a chair but doesn't say anything. Hakeem sits beside his brother " you gotta be brave Z and we ain't going anywhere me momma Dre and Mal have got you "
Zain looks down at the floor and starts to hit himself in the side of his head " no no baby don't do that it's ok " cookie said as she placed her hands on Zain's legs. Zain looked up at his mom and she smiled stroking his face

* A few days after Lucious was arrested*

Cookie is in the dining room setting the table  ready for dinner. Andre had Zain with him and Rhonda all day because he stays with them at least once a week and Cookie didn't want to break him out of routine

"  dad come home now?" Look man I already told you he's on vacation remember?"  Zain stayed quiet as Andre  guided him into the dining room of Lucious's house " boys I need to speak to you about something.. I want Zain to come and stay with me at my house it's my turn to look after him " Hakeem scoffs " mom just because dad's gone you can't come up in here and start changing things it ain't right" I'm his mother god damn it !"

" You can't break routine mom you just can't "

* Flashforward*

Zain is now living with Cookie in her apartment and it isn't going as well as Cookie first imagined. Zain is very unsettled all he wants is normality but most importantly he wants his dad " cookie you gotta keep the boy under control look at this place man it's a damn mess!" I know I know things are just difficult right now babe that's all.. I'm sorry she says as she kisses the man's cheak...
