The return of Mr Lyon

It's been 5 months since Lucious went to prison. In terms of Empire things are going well the free Lucious concert was a success which may see Lucious back from behind bars sooner than Cookie may have hoped. That wasn't her only concern though Zain's behaviour has gone from bad to worse since Lucious went to prison,but his dad going to prison wasn't the only reason for his recent behaviour. Cookie had secretly been seeing her ex Barry before Lucious went to prison, things escalated kinda quickly as he's now living with Cookie but when she decided to have Zain live with her Barry didn't like the idea and now their relationship seems more volatile than loved up

"Cmon Z you gotta get dressed baby were going to Empire today remember?" No! " Hey hey no shouting" Zain stood  up and took the t-shirt off his mom and puts it on " dad come back now"? " Not yet baby" this is a question Cookie heard every day and every day she gave the same answer. No matter how many times Cookie told Zain it wasn't enough for him he just couldn't understand why his dad had been gone for so long

*Andre arrived at court to support his father as Lucious was hopeful his time behind bars had come to an end *

"Lucious Lyon you are charged with the murder of Marcus Williams of which you were found guilty on the 1st may 2015" excuse me your honour some new evidence has come to light" thirsty said with a smirk on his face. Almost instantly the judge dismissed the case " what did you do thirst?" Nobody likes to be embarrassed boss man " Lucious chuckled in response

" No no you can't do this your honour" agent Sanchez said in desperaition . Lucious walks out the courtroom laughing" until next time baby" he turns around and smirks at the woman

" Hey Dre you ok you look down about something" yeah pop I'm fine let's get you home man" once Dre and Lucious arrive home with thirsty the first thing to be heard was the sound of the piano " oh it's good to be home
" Lucious opened the doors to his front room and saw  Jamal and Kai sat by the piano while  Rhonda and Tiana were pouring champagne"  at that moment Hakeem walked in " hey what's up dad" hey Keem they embraced in a pound hug and bumped fists" cmon z it's ok" Hakeem said to his little brother as he stood by the door unable to see his dad yet "what's up Z" Lucious said as he smiled happily.

Zain walked over to his dad and hugged him he didn't say anything he just layed his head on his dad's shoulder " I missed you so much son " but I'm back now ok your dads not going nowhere" Zain lifted his head off Lucious's shoulder " cmon let's get some food yeah ?" Mr Lucious I've made Zain some Mac n cheese it's in the silver dish in the middle of the table" thank you Juanita" Lucious said as everyone sat down at the dining room table. Jax the dog layed down beside Lucious's chair as everyone began to eat

" Where's your mother boys" uh yeah she's got something going on right now dad " Jamal said as he ate " well in that case I want to thank you all for supporting me in these recent months I know what I did was wrong and being behind bars taught me a lesson " you don't know what  you've got til it's gone and I promise ya'll this Imma work hard at being a better man and father to my boys " and Rhonda I wanna say thank you to you for helping out with Zain while I've been away Dre told me how you good you were with him so thank you" anytime Lucious he's a pleasure to have around" I like Dre's house " we have fun don't we little man" Dre said

" That nice Z" mhm " he smiled looking up at his father " soon enough everyone finished their food and moved into the living room to watch Jamal and Hakeem perform. Just as they were about to start, Cookie barged through the door " Hakeem ! I told you not to bring Zain here " Nice to see you Cookie Lucious said" so your back huh " yeah I am " Barry walked over and puts a hand on her shoulder. As Zain notices Barry he goes and sits beside Lucious " cmon Zain were going home" Barry said in a serious manner" Barry don't " cookie says nervously. " I think you'll find he is home .. Barry . Lucious said as he puts an arm round Zain. " You always were a dick Barry I remember that about you "

" You know what you're problem is Lucious " I don't Barry but I'm sure you'll tell me " you mollycoddle the boy far too much "hey man don't talk to our dad like that you have no idea what's it like to look after someone like Zain " Hakeem said defending his little brother " I think you'll find I do boy I see his tantrums every fucking day " Lucious stands up " he sometimes has meltdowns actually there's a difference" cmon Cook what you doing with this asshole man" I love him Lucious " yeah whatever Zain's staying here from now on okay" you can't do that Lucious cookies his mother " yeah and I'm his father man what you gonna do" stay with dad please" Zain said quietly " it's ok son your staying " cmon Cookie were going . Just then Barry grabbed cookies arm " I wouldn't do that if I were you " Lucious said as he stood between Barry and Cookie

" Juanita please take Zain upstairs' yes sir " thank you" Zain stands up and looks over at Cookie " it's ok baby I'll come up and see  you in a minute" she said as she hugged Zain and he went upstairs with Juanita
" Come on Cookie let's go home " let me say goodnight to Z first " she quickly walks upstairs and goes into Zain's room and sits beside him on the bed " what you watching" Simpson's" you ok about staying with your dad" yeah" ok good" she kissed his head
" Cookie what the hell are you thinking getting with him how longs it been going on" Lucious said as he walked in Zain's room

" Lucious I'm not doing this right now not here "
Lucious walked out of Zain's room and Cookie. " It might be hard for you to believe but I love him Lucious " that's not love Cookie and you know it " Lucious I'm not doing this ok just leave me alone" cookie " he takes her by the arm and she winches " what's wrong are you hurt did he do it did Barry hurt you?" No Lucious .. Lucious stop Cookie said as he rolled up her sleeve.. "Imma kill him " Lucious quickly walks down the stairs and punches Barry in the face " dad what are you doing !" Jamal shouted while pulling Lucious away from Barry ' he's been hitting your mother"! He punched Barry again " Lucious no ! Cookie shouted " get out of my house now .. Go! Hakeem Jamal and Andre drag Barry out the house and slam the door " stay away from our mother!" Andre shouts angrily" you say he loves you but that's not love !"

Lucious's heart broke for Cookie it hurt him that her strong personality could be worn down by someone like Barry that wasn't the Cookie Lyon Lucious knew and loved ....
