With a warm smile, the former queen approached them.
"Sandhya, this is my mother." Abhimaan introduced and they both took her blessings.
"God bless you both." She said placing a hand on each of their head.
"Abhi." She let out a sigh of relief seeing her son safe and sound and engulfed him in a hug.
"I am fine, Maa sa." Abhimaan reassured.
"Thank god." She said and pulled back.
"Bahuranisa, don't mind Raj mata's words. Just give her some time." Maa sa said, holding Sandhya hands in hers.
Sandhya just gave a nervous nod.
Maa sa took the aarti platter from a maid and did the aarti and tilak of the newly weds.
"Welcome to your new home." Maa sa said with a smile.
She told another maid to place the rice filled kalash down.
"Bahu, push this with your right toe and then you enter." She instructed and Sandhya followed.
She stepped onto the alta platter and walked into the courtyard of the palace, leaving red footprints behind.
"This is the Royal temple. You two go and take blessings of god." Maa sa instructed stopping in front of the temple. Sandhya and Abhimaan took the blessings of lord shiva.
"Maa sa, Can you show Sandhya her room? Till then, I'll meet up with the ministers." Abhimaan said.
"Of course, you may go." Maa sa nodded and giving Sandhya a reassuring smile, he went away from there.
"Bahurani, come I'll show you around." Maa sa said to Sandhya.
Sandhya silently followed Maa sa around the palace as she showed her around.
"And this is your room. This room is for the queen. The room across yours is the king's. And attached to your rooms is this beautiful garden." Maa sa said drawing the curtains from the room to the garden.
Sandhya smiled looking at the beautiful scenery. The garden was very well kept with rare and unique flowers and plants.
"It's very beautiful." Sandhya said in a mesmerised state.
"Yes it is."
"You take rest for a while. You must be tired after so much travelling." Maa sa said.
"Yes." Sandhya answered.
And after that Maa sa left from there.
Sandhya took a seat on the couch that was placed where the open room was connected with the garden looking at the serene view and listening to the sound of flowing water from the fountain, she fell asleep.
