Sandhya finally opened the letter and she could burst in tears looking at his neat and artistic handwriting. How she has missed him. She caressed the paper where it might have been under the touch of her lover. A touch, that she craved and was yearning for.

Looking up and after clearing her vision from the tears, Sandhya started reading what Abhimaan had written.

'What do I write to you, oh! My love? Though I have a lot to tell you, the moment I pick up the pen, I lack of words. That's is why I am pouring out the feelings of my heart in this letter hoping it would reach safely to you. I wake up in the morning feeling void and incomplete. You are not there in my arms neither when I wake up nor when I am going to sleep. Can I even call it sleep? Every night I gaze at the stars and reminisce about the moments we've spent together, when the wind blows, I imagine your scent tangled in them. I try to get some sleep while imagining, the wind blowing is you caressing my hair. I don't know how many days more until I am blessed to see your beautiful face again and trust me, I am yearning. Today I saw a couple getting married in the temple and it reminded me of us, when we got married. Can I confess something to you? Usually, I am fearless on the battle field and face death like it's nothing but that day, when you said you did not want to marry me, It was the first time, I felt fear and it was not a good feeling. I felt my heart drop and at the same time beating hundred times faster against my chest and thought it would jump out of my chest. Before I looked forward for these trips, to connect with my subjects but now, I cannot enjoy it as much as I would like to as I now have a purpose in life. Before I was just a king. Now I am a king in love without his queen.  I promise you, my dear. The next trip, you are coming with me. Sandhya, you gave me a reason to live, a reason to yearn to come back home. I love you, meri jaan. I'll try to come back home as soon as I can.

Your and only yours, Maan.'

Her tears fell on his name and she quickly wiped it away, fearing it would wipe away the ink.

Sandhya held the letter close to her heart and wept hard. Her heart clenched in yearning as I read his letter. Softly, she placed a kiss on the top of the letter and lie down on the bed, placing the letter on the place her husband usually occupies.

"Come back soon, Maan. I can't take it anymore. Please." She sobbed. Sandhya, from crying so hard, fell asleep.

In the evening, Sandhya was strolling in the garden with Akshara, giggling seeing the bunnies jump around when she noticed, Akshara seemed lost in thoughts.

"What happened to you?" She asked her, while laughing as she picked one of the bunnies, it was of white colour and younger than most.

"Akshara?" Sandhya shook her and she came back from her world of thoughts.

"What happened?" She asked again and Akshar shook her head and smiled, petting the bunny in Sandhya's arm.

"By the way, have you sent a letter to your family yet. "Yes, a few days ago itself. When Rajat went out of town." Akshara said and Sandhya nodded. She had the idea for a while in her head but soon planned to work on it.

"Bhavna called you earlier right? Did something happen?" Sandhya asked glanced up at Akshara.

"Uh-nothing much. She just asked me to help her for the upcoming feast?"

"Feast?"

"Yes, Badi raj mata's birthday is approaching and Rani bhavna is organising a celebration."

"Oh, okay. When?"

"Two weeks from now." She answered and Sandhya nodded, caressing the little fur ball in her arms.

At night after finishing up some accounting works, she picked up my pen and paper and started to write the letter, she has been meaning to write for a while now.
