An owl flies through Nadia's dreams, carrying a song with it. A familiar song, one that Nadia reaches for as the owl leaves her behind, stuck in place. Catching it, the sounds echo around her, easing Nadia into a deeper sleep even as her mind reaches for wakefulness in desperation. It's been so long since she's been awake, but her mind has acclimated so to the stasis that she can't hold on to a snippet of consciousness for longer than a heartbeat. She sinks back into oblivion.
