5 days.
After meeting with the celestial, Y/N immediately found herself flicking through the book she'd received. She couldn't help it, really - now she was even more curious about the journal, more so than before when she'd spend 20 minutes max every other week just translating a couple sections that seemed important. Yet here she was now, scanning through every single page, deciphering every little word she came across.
Believe it or not, (if somehow a fool hadn't seen the literal god that appeared from a brief text reading) this book definitely holds much more than what meets the eye. She didn't even know how she might've missed it, but the book seemed to obtain a lot of information resolving around topics that might've not captured her attention beforehand, life and death aside. Some titles spoke of a certain celestial that may or may not have appeared at a moment's notice yesterday, titles which interested her dearly. She hoped by reading the book that she'd manage to get an idea of what she was willing to wish for.
Long story-short, she struck gold in a seemingly empty mine.
As of now, the H/C haired girl found herself lying on her stomach in an empty flower-field, wild colourful flowers surrounding her as she stared at the book in pure awe and wonder. The wind around her whistled softly, leaves of nearby plants tickling at her hands the more she read and yet it didn't bother her in the slightest. She never found herself bothered by it, in fact, maybe because it was a place she often spent her thinking time, and such. Either way, she found peace in this place, in more ways than one.
Just as she turned to the next page, an interesting sight caught her eyes. A page... about him. A folded note was tucked inside a fold in the paper, revealing a rough, messy sketch of his form, almost the same she'd seen of him the previous day, robes and all. If that wasn't a clear giveaway, then the dark etched 'X' drew upon the figure's face certainly was. The most noticeable thing about this drawing, though, was how much more... sinister he appeared to be.
Y/N's brows furrowed upon the page, eyes squinting as she leaned closer to get a better look at the paper.
This version seemed evil, almost, claws protruding from his thin fingers and a strange, satanic grin peeking from just beneath the mask, razor-sharp fangs on display. He looked... truly demonic. Ironic how he was said to be a 'god', too. Whether it had been an interpretation of the guy, or the real thing was what concerned her. Intrigued to know more, she read on. In the text beneath the drawing, it went on to speak more of his characteristics and features, and what to stay wary of, things that hadn't even cautioned her until now. Yesterday, he seemed nothing but harmless - at most, alluring (hence how she got here in the first place) but by reading these texts, well... she wasn't so sure if he was as 'harmless' as he appeared to be.
As if on cue, the sound of rustling leaves came from behind her, alerting her that there was a presence approaching. Her hand slapped over the cold leather of the book-cover, slamming it shut quickly before throwing her head over her shoulder to see no-other then the celestial himself, DreamXD.
"Y/N, hello." He greeted hovering around to her front as she stood up straight. She let out a nervous chuckle, her fingers curling around the journal as she pushed it closer to her chest out of instinct before avoiding eye contact with the guy.
"Hey- um... DreamXD... What brings you here?" She spoke, her voice trembling slightly under the newfound information she had obtained with hopes that he didn't notice. He did, of course, but chose not to question it. Instead, he looked down at the girl with curious eyes, his halo shimmering under the soft sunlight as his head ticked with thought.
"I thought I told you yesterday... I said I'd 'have to hover around for a bit until your decision is final', remember?" He responded, his tone lingering with a sense of lightheartedness. Y/N seemed to blink at that, her mind's cogs slowly turning. At first, her mind seemed completely blank on what he was on about, unable to recall his words due to her concerns towards him being a much more overwhelming factor. Thankfully for her, she seemed to snap out of it before the silence would drag out for too long, her mind catching up to the present.
